Chapter Five Greyson guarded the door like a sentry. She wanted to talk to Addie Blake before Drake could poison the well. Greyson didn’t leave things to chance. She reached for the door just as it opened, but a peek was all she caught. Enough to see past the curtain and a small, frail woman clutching a paper sheet to her chest as she lay on the examination table. If that was Addie, and she suspected it was, she definitely needed to do damage control. In just a few minutes, two at most, she could convince Addie that it would be in her best interest to stay quiet until Greyson had a chance to talk to legal counsel. A r**e at the company would cause a ripple effect, reverberating out into the larger business community. Part of her couldn’t believe how insensitive she was being.
