After minutes and minutes of sitting inside the idling car, Jude woke up when he choked on his own snores. Zach had been waiting for it; he knew it was bound to happen. But seeing unravel was still amusing and hilarious.
He barked out a laugh.
“Cough, cough!”
“You okay?” Zach asked, laughing.
"Yeah, I’m—cough—Ugh, how long have I been asleep for?" Jude asked, blinking his eyes several times. He seemed to realize he had been sitting there for a while and straightened up.
"Around an hour," Zach said. He gestured to the corner of Jude’s mouth and said, "You have some drool around here."
"Ew, yuck. Sorry ‘bout that," Jude said, wiping it off with the back of his hand.
"It's fine."
