Jude rolled to his side on the bed. As he thought about everything that happened a few hours ago, he felt his stomach churn with worry.
What a stupid thing to say! Jude couldn't believe what he said in the heat of the moment. Sure, there was a bit of truth to them. Even so, it was unfair to demand the same level of emotions from Zach. After all, Jude had been loving him for eight years. He has had all the time to nurture and grow his affections. And Zach? Who knows how long he has had those romantic feelings? His may be a budding love or something that would just pass. For all Jude knew, Zach was still trying things out, and now he scared him off.
