Alice is at Aneesha's house, she knocked the gate silently. she has left home 30 minutes ago, she can't wait to see her intimate friend to vomit out what was in her mind. The gate was opened by the gateman. on sighting her, she made way for her to come in because he knew too well that Alice and Aneesha are best of friends. " thanks". She said silently.

she walked to the door and press the door bell.The door was flung opened by Aneesha and on seeing her, she hugged her, "you're welcome" Aneesha said.

"Aneesha, I need to tell you something, can we go to the cafeteria or we stay here? Alice asked looking at her phone. she received a message from someone. she marked the message red and put off the phone "let's go out" Aneesha said.

on getting outside, Aneesha saw their maid and told her to get them two glasses of orange juice and cake. "okay" the maid said obediently when she was out of sight Aneesha said "she's good". "Hmm, what did you say" Alice asked looking at her friend "Hmm, nothing really. Nevermind. Now tell me what you came here for".

"hmm hmm". Alice cleared her throat, by this time Aneesha was all hears, she has payed keen interest as if its a very serious matter. "After standing on stage, I went out to look for you, I felt like someone was tailing me but I want afraid, after all I am not alone". She paused and continued.

Someone called my name and behold it's J.J. john j. I looked at him and he said hmm hmm" she cleared her voice and she used exactly J.J's hoarse voice. " You see Alice, I have been trying to tell you this before" I knew where he was going she stopped and continued " You see I like you , I....I....lo....I love you. Like....Like....I have been trying to tell you this all this time but there was no opportunity. I think this is an appropriate time for". I didn't let him finish the statement when I said uh uh, you like me ,hmm, I don't know to say. Thanks thanks maybe same here, he looked at my face and we both chuckled and looked away for some seconds then we both echoed "okay" we looked at ourselves again and both chuckled". The maid was back with the cake and the juice. Aneesha collected it from her and gave Alice her juice. They both took a sip and a bite from the cake.

"we exchange phone number and then bade ourselves goodnight. And after the party. We chatted the next day and he told that 'can we be in a relationship?I said yes". The both of them looked at the direction of the gate where the gateman was opening the door for someone. "What! it's Martins". Alice cried. When. he almost got to the door, Aneesha called him "Hey, guy can't you see us over here". Martins looked by his side and he smiled.

"Ho! I can't see you".He paused after noticing Alice was with Aneesha. "oooh, Alice what are you doing here". Alice gave a questioning look at martins and said "Aah aah what type of question is that, Am I not her friend, and also that's even the question I was supposed to ask you, o.....or....are you crushing on her already? wow" Aneesha and Martins looked at themselves and both laughed. "Well, hmm hmm". Martins cleared his throat. "Something like that" Martins said, and the trio began to laugh.

"Like seriously I'm also in love with someone". Alice said with a shy face "Aaw that's alright, who's the guy? Martins asked. Alice looked at Aneesha and Martins, then paused for some seconds as if deliberating on what to say .

" Dave" she finally said happily."Dave? Martins questioned "yeah" Alice replied. "You haven't found a good guy maybe". Martins said shrugging"why....? Alice said emphasizing and also rolling her eyes. "Why is Dave not a good guy, after all he's your close friend ". "hmm hmm, that does not mean, as he's my close friend I know him more than you do". Martins said.

After the statement Dave said, Alice wasn't comfortable, she was sweating and you could tell she was not herself, then Alice mind flashed back to where she and Dave were chatting in the school garden. "Hi" Alice said to Dave."hello".Dave replied sluggishly. "Please can I get to know you? Alice asked either quacking or excited. "My name is Dave". He said stretching forth his hand for a handshake. "I'm Alice, nice meeting you". Alice said receiving the handshake.

"Can we go to that place". Dave said pointing to a particular place in the garden where people can sit and chat. "My pleasure" Alice said and they both left where they were for the garden. They sat down silently looking at themselves for a few seconds. Dave finally broke the silence. "is Aneesha your friend? Dave asked Alice who had been looking at two people from a far distance. " Yes, why " Alice questioned "Nothing, you know, maybe,....., you see, I like her". Dave finally said. " what! Alice said in her mind which almost leapt out of her. "Why is he telling me this, is he expecting me to help him tell her, oh no" Alice thought.

" Like seriously" Alice asked looking into the eyeball of Dave and she saw seriousness in what he just said. "yes more on a serious note". Dave said smiling at Alice. We can be friends right?

Dave asked, "who". Alice fired back at him. "You and I". Dave said smiling again. " ooh yes, we can". Alice said.

the giggling of martins and Aneesha brought Alice back to where she was before. Aneesha stopped, looked at Alice sincerely and asked " Alice is it true? "that what" Alice asked back "Martins once said Dave was saucy sometimes, I don't think he is. He said that before and I asked you l, I think you were in a deep thought by that time". Aneesha paused and continued "Maybe Dave" Aneesha and Martins again burst into laughter " What's funny" Alice asked them. "Everything" Aneesha stopped laughing then looked at Alice again and started laughing. Alice was already tired afterall she has told her what she was longing to tell her.

She stood up, drank the remaining juice and said " Aneesha, am off, see you later". They both have stopped laughing and they looked at Alice. " What, see how red your eyes are". Alice said to both of them. " Martins, why have we been laughing? Aneesha asked."Nothing really" Martins replied.

Alice began to approach the gate, she thought about school. she remembered, they are resuming a week later. " Wow, back to school next week" Alice said smiling to herself. " Did I really like Dave" she asked herself. " yes " she answered. " Maybe we can be close friends". Alice said to herself again, she looked at her wristwatch and she saw that the time is far spent. " I have to get home right now". She said and stopped a taxi to take home.
