I stand on the edge of the wild, inhospitable borderland that skirts the edge of our territory- the Silvermoon Pack- and beyond it lies the domain of the wolf tribe of the neighbouring country.
A shiver courses through me, and Dawn whimpers in distress. We both know without a shred of doubt: that Nathan has orchestrated this. James, my brother, has been assigned to patrol here. It's a message, one written with malice and manipulation. Nathan, intends for James to be swallowed by the chaos that awaits here.
"Dawn," I whisper inwardly, seeking the strength that only she can offer. "He wants us to feel powerless."
