Why?

Yoo Ae's POV

"In the park?!"

Well, he brought me in a park. We drove all the way here by the way.

He nodded smiling. That smile.. stop it! How could I stop my feels if you keep on smiling at me, Oppa?

"I'll teach you something enjoyable. Chankaman." Then he went at the back of his car to get something.

"Skateboard?" I asked.

"Yep." He took two so he gave me one.

I accepted it but.. "Oppa.."

"Why? Are you afraid?"

I bit my lip and nodded. I've never tried any dangerous sports before. I'm scared to fall and wound myself.

He took some stuff from the back of his car again. "I know. That's why you have to wear.. a helmet." then he put on the helmet for me. I can't help myself but stare at him as he secured the helmet's lock. "And gears!" then he squatted to make me wear the arm and knee pads.

I could not move a finger. I'm too stunned with everything. This is so unbelievable! Am I really with Mark Oppa right now? Is he really the one putting those gears on me? God, are you taking me already? Why is this happening?

He stood up. "Now, you're ready."

But I just stood looking at him.

He smiled and held my hand. Ohmigad! He held my hand!

"Trust me." He said in English.

I nodded.

Rolling on my bed because I cannot contain my feels with what happened just this afternoon.

There was too much skinship! "KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!" covering my mouth with a pillow coz my mother and brother might hear me and ask why.

I called Seulgi. She's still in the country. Her flight is next week. "Seulgi-ah! Omona! You won't believe what happened?"

Then I told her the whole story that happened this afternoon. By the way, she knows about Mark Oppa already coz I spazz with her yesterday. Of course, before she flies away, she should know about my love life, right?

Seulgi didn't comment on anything and just listened to me the whole time on the other line. That was also the case yesterday in the cafe. She didn't say anything and just smiled and nodded at me.

I think she's really sad that she's leaving that she could not even bring herself to laugh anymore. Poor Seulgi.

I stopped spazzing. "Mianhae, chinguya."

"Ani." She answered on the other line. "Why did you stop? Why are you saying sorry? Just continue.."

"No. I just feel guilty that I'm happy. I shouldn't be happy when my friend is leaving."

"Kim Yoo Ae." with a serious tone. "He brought you skateboarding coz he wants you to cheer you up, right? He never did that to anyone except you, Yoo Ae. He never even taught any girl skateboarding.. ever."

"How did you know?"

"Huh? Uhmmm.. ah--I was just assuming. C-coz you said he said he never thought he would cheer anyone up."

I chuckled. "We are really bestfriends. We like to assume stuff so much."

Then I heard her chuckled a bit.

"Wah! You just laughed!"

"I did? I didn't."

"You did!"

"Noona~"

"Chinguya~"

Bambam, Youngjae, Jackson and Jinyoung all greeted me when I went down. I didn't know they're here.

I smiled at them. "Practice?"

"Ani." Jinyoung answered. "We're just here to see you."

"Heol." I replied.

Then I saw Jaebum oppa sitting on our sofa reading a magazine. Our eyes met but he looked away and pretended that he didn't see me. What's up with this guy?

"You are not complete." I told Jinyoung. "Where's Mark Oppa?"

"You were with him this afternoon and you don't know where he is?" Jaebum Oppa suddenly answered in sarcastic tone.

"You were with..?" Jackson with his mouth covered shocked face that I am used to now.

How did he know I was with him? Did Mark Oppa tell him?

"You should have asked him yourself where he is." He continued.

Like what is his problem? I faced him. "So you're saying that I was the cause why he isn't here right now?"

He didn't answer, just flipping the pages of the magazine he is holding. I went in front of him. "Lim Jae Bum. What are you trying to say? I don't get you."

Still no answer.

I continued. "We just went skateboarding this afternoon because I was sad that Seulgi quitted school." He looked at me. "He just cheered me up, oppa. Nothing wrong." I don't know why I'm even explaining this to him.

He messed his hair, sighed, closed the magazine, and stood up. But he was so close that I felt awkward and have to step backward.

He looked at me with very serious eyes. "I said contact him and ask him on your own. You two are close now, right?" still in sarcastic tone and walked towards the door passing by everyone.

"Woaw!" I heard Jackson and Bambam exclaimed.

"Hyung!" Yugyeom and Youngjae calling him.

"Eodiga?" Jinyoung asking him. He even tried to stop him holding his arm but he didn't answer and just walked out.

What's up with that behavior? Haist! Jinjja!

"Let me." I told Jinyoung and followed him. "Lim Jae Bum!"

"Why are you angry?!" He continued walking fast. I ran to his front and held his arms to stop him. "Yah!!!"

He stopped walking without looking at me.

I breathed deeply. "Why are you like this? You haven't even talked to me since the audition day."

Woah! That felt good letting it out. Yes, he hasn't been talking to me since that day and I don't know why. I keep pretending that it's no big deal and it doesn't matter but actually it has been bugging me. But still, I pretend that it's nothing.

"I don't even know what I did wrong or if I really did wrong to you. I don't remember doing something wrong either. Honestly, I was so awkward with you when I met you again in school after not seeing you for years. You did not even contact me all those times. I even called you sunbae, right? Coz I thought you feel so distant and not the same Jaebum that I used to know. And now that I think I am comfortable with you again, you suddenly become like this. Like what is really you're problem, Oppa?! You don't even---"

This time he looked at me. "Ae.."

I was put in a halt when he called me.

He smiled. "Mianhae." then he helled my hand and pulled me to walk.

"Yah! Is that what you only have got to say? Mianhae?!" I pulled my hand out of his grip but I can't.

"Care to have some ice cream?" he asked.

I glared at him. "Lim Jae Bum. Remember.. I still need an explanation why you're acting this way. But since I'm really feeling bad COZ YOU MADE ME feel bad, I'm accepting the ice cream offer. Kaja!" then I was the one who pulled him to the gelato shop.
