Arelya King Damien was pacing the throne room, he had demanded for Tyrone to come back to the capital through multiple people. And now he had resorted to sending in a messenger to see what was going on in the camp. The pacing continued when the messenger entered the room,  it was a slight nod towards the man in order for him to start speaking. "Your Majesty, Blake had arrived at the camp in the evening I arrived and proceeded to talk to the Prince in his tent in the evening. From what I overheard he had tried to persuade the Prince to return to the capital but he refused yet again. All of the soldiers had been acting strange whilst I was down there, and after a few questions they started to explain why it was that way. A couple nights ago they had a visitor hiding in the shadows of the camp, and his highness ended up confronting the stranger." The King stopped at that and waited for the messenger to continue his explanation. But as he had stopped the messenger became slightly scared, and backed away, fearing for his life a little bit more. "What are you doing, keep talking!" "Umm... So he talked to the visitor and apparently the soldiers had heard a female voice. A-a-and then she moved out of the shadows with her creature, which they swore to be a dragon." Damien held his hand up towards the messenger and moved in closer, with the others face paling significantly. Neither spoke for almost a minute.  "Did you just say that it was a dragon that this female had hidden with?" There was a nod of the messengers head which resulted in a fury behind the Kings eyes.He moved even closer to the man, so they were almost breathing the same air. "Did you get the name of the woman?" The messenger shook his head whilst his body trembled, getting on the bad side of the King was definitely not what he had wanted to do today. Damien released the messenger before he did something stupid and made his way out of the throne room. He headed towards his own chambers, which he thought would be empty, but ended up running into the one woman he did not want to see. Damien had stopped at the door, watching her move around his room like an angel, she was looking for something.  Damien leant against the doorframe in a trance, his memory was making him see things again. The outline of his sister was right before him, her beautiful hair was blowing with an imaginary breeze. It was definitely unhealthy for him to have these flashes of her, but it was also an obsession that Damien couldn't seem to shake. Moving into the room, Damien walked around the memory of his sister, and when he got to her face he paused. Her face was that of the teenager he remembered in his bed. The one he had punished and claimed for himself in the most basic ways, and all of the marks he had made were still there. He loved that she bore his marks, and he had wished he could do it again so many times, but that bastard took her from him. 'Saved her' as he so put it. It was the one thing that Damien has wanted in life that he couldn't have, and this whole charade had made him insane. He looked back into the eyes from his memory as she started to fade, it left him standing in the middle of his room, more alone than he's ever been. The vow he made when he was tossed from his own home was to get revenge on that man, and with every failed plan he now had one that may work in his favour. It wouldn't be the exact female he wants, but she will be very similar. Tarnon Calissa and Faris returned to his room, as soon as they entered Calissa made a beeline for the alcohol and didn't even bother with the glasses. One bottle for her and one for him. They sat on his chairs and still didn't say a word, neither one knew what to say first about what they just heard. Calissa decided to stand up and start pacing, the bottle was already half empty but it wasn't enough for her. "That was my mother we heard in there correct?" Faris nodded his head in slow movements, stopped, and then continued to drink. The thing he did next was not what Calissa expected though, he went to his shelves and started rifling through the books. He picked up three, pushed everything off his desk and started to find pages in the books. Calissa moved closer and started to watch over his shoulder, confused as to what could be so important at this moment. When Faris stepped back she still had no idea what he was on about, with a quick look to his sister he sighed and started to explain. "These books, these are all filled with prophecies and legends. Now when you came back with Naya I decided to start reading these again because I distinctly remembered a passage in one or two about a princess and a dragon." Calissa's eyebrow went up as Faris started to ramble on about what books he had thought they were from, before he could continue Calissa held his shoulders.  "Alright, get to your point please. Not about the books, about what is in them that is so important please." "Right okay, so this one here states that the War God of Tarnon had a dragon, before you. This was so long ago, its in the old language. Anyway, this War God was during the time of the fight over the unclaimed land. So, he basically went to the lands to see if there were any people living there, so as not to harm them and to help protect them. When he got there it turns out he found a whole civilisation, and they were living with the dragons!"  Calissa looked at her brother like he grew two heads, her whole history was brought up on the idea that the dragons had destroyed so much and that was the only thing they could possibly do. "I know my thoughts as well. But, the war finished, obviously we won, and the War God kept his promise to those people and helped them. He returned those people to their lands, but those who lived on the border were upset by this, they wanted the lands for themselves. So obviously those who wanted the lands attacked and because the natives were close to the dragons, the beasts protected them and tried to save everyone. It didn't exactly work out that way, and so many people died in that fight, but the War God was able to save one of the families, and he ended up marrying one of the survivors." She needed to sit down, the bottles had been put away as the siblings continued to talk about the history of their kingdom, about the secrets that had been kept from them. "So if thats only one book, why did you grab the other two?" Faris seemed to smile at her question and rushed to grab the other two and placed one in her hands and told her to look for the drawing of a dragon. "Right okay found the pictures going to read the words. So, turns out the dragons originated in the land currently known as Arelya. Mind f**k there." A slight chuckle left Faris, but then his hand quickly made the movement to keep talking. "Well alright then. Umm... skipping some bits about the borders because we already know this stuff. Here we go, dragons have two special connections known as a mate and a bond. The bond is between a dragon and a human and it allows them to communicate. So exactly like what Naya and I have, thats why we can communicate, its the bond.So thats pretty self explanatory in itself, lets get onto the mate part. Mates are the romantic partners of dragons, it is considered that mates souls are linked through all of their past lives and will find each other. The pull that a mate feels is impossible to ignore, and without it the other half feels...incomplete." She dropped the book onto her lap and started thinking. The part about mates sounded so familiar to her, almost like she had heard it before. Or read it.   "Cali? Hey Cali, whats going on?" Faris started clicking his fingers in front of her face, she had zoned out hard and he didn't know why. Which concerned him even more. "This part about the mates and bonds sounds so familiar, like I already knew it. I don't know." She shook her head in frustration and decided to keep reading the book, but Faris continued to look at her. There was something strange about that though because this was the only book he had able to find anything in regarding the connections a dragon has. "Whats your book anyway." Curiosity got the better of her as she asked Faris. "This is the family history of the royals, and this exact page contains the information about the War God and his wife, and more importantly his children. So with his wife they rejected the throne, and decided to make their own way in the Kingdom. Now, if you follow their line enough you will find it rejoins the Royals with his great great great great great granddaughter becoming one of the Kings women. So thats ... six generations down the line and the blood became important again." Calissa took the book from her brother and looked at the War Gods family line, and when her eyes reached the end she dropped it. Backing away from the book and the truth it holds. "That's not possible." Faris stood up to reach his sister, for support and comfort. But before he could she opened the door and left, not wanting to read on anymore.
