Martin suspected he’d triggered the events by some bizarre twist of magical correspondence. The first headless body was found in a canal lock, a mere ten minutes" walk from the police headquarters building. On Monday morning he was called out with Ray at seven a.m., shortly after a dog walker made the grim discovery.
