Calista was referring to Janet Reeves, Ellet's sister. Years ago, she had run off with a college professor and had been missing ever since. To cover up the scandal, the Reeves family had always told the public that Janet was in poor health and had been sent to Fland for long-term care.
Molina took a closer look and realized Calista was right. She didn't question how Calista knew about Janet—after all, the Reeves' family photos were displayed in the hallway for anyone to see. It wasn't surprising that Calista would recognize her.
