Sera's POV I woke to warmth and the impossible reality that I was happy. The thought should have terrified me. Instead, I smiled against the chest I was pressed against, breathing in cedar and smoke and him. Draven's arm was wrapped around me possessively, even in sleep, and his heart beat slow and steady beneath my cheek. Mine, whispered my wolf. Finally mine. I tilted my head to look at him. Sleep softened the hard lines of his face. He looked younger like this—almost peaceful. The golden eyes that usually burned with intensity were hidden behind dark lashes. His lips were slightly parted, his jaw relaxed. Beautiful. He was beautiful. I reached up and traced the line of his cheekbone, feather-light. His skin was warm, rough with morning stubble, and I couldn't stop touching him.
