A couple of times Rin needs to pull to the side of road to rest. She hasn’t slept and with the magic of the covenant drained out of her system it makes it even harder to concentrate on the road. She finally pulls up to a motel on the side of the road. It looks sketchy with most of the letter of the neon board not working and grind running from the walls at some spots when her cars headlights hit them. She gets a room and when she opens the door, she finds a half empty glass of something still standing on the counter, a bed that is not made and some bullet holes in the wall. She pulls a frown but decides she is too tired to just leave or even to go and speak to the manager. She pulls the covers on the bed so it at least looks half made and then crashes on it. She drifts into a deep slumber.
