The news circulating the office and the whole of town in extension was shocking to me.
Alex and I had been very discreet in our affairs, we exhibited a brother-and-sister relationship whenever we were in public, we were so good at it that even our family had no idea about what was going on between us.
The only way such news could have been made public is if Alex herself was involved in it, which would never be the case, because she wasn’t the kind of person to do things for people’s attention.
