Richard pulled away as soon as he kissed me. The look in his eyes had now been replaced with a look of worry.
He probably felt ashamed for doing what he just did. I couldn’t help but think that, that was the only thing I brought to the people around me.
"Sorry," he said in a rush. “I didn’t mean to, it was a mistake…I made a mistake, forgive me, Lexi.”
I didn't even know what to say to him. I was shocked. I sincerely thought we were over this, especially in the present with my most recent predicaments, which his girlfriend was responsible for.
