The sharp, feminine shout cut cleanly through the tension hanging over the courtyard.
A second later, two slender figures stepped out of a car and walked straight toward the villa entrance. Their long hair cascaded down their backs, framing identical faces that seemed almost unreal at first glance. Their figures were graceful, their movements synchronized, and the striking similarity between them immediately drew every eye present.
For a split second, the entire scene seemed to freeze.
