~EVA STEEL.
Lateness.
That was what I detested the most.
How dare he be late. I mentally scoffed, blaming myself for why I had accepted this date in the first place. And here I thought older men were supposed to be smart and experienced. This just added to the reason why I go for the younger ones.
Slightly dorking my head to check the tiny golden wristwatch which was elegantly wrapped around my left wrist. My face contorted in impatience as I watched as the longer hand began to twirl slowly till it hits 12. Great, now he's three minutes late.
"Just two more minutes, two more minutes. If he isn't here in two minutes time then I'm out and done." I mumbled underneath my breath as I busied myself with the menu.
Almost immediately I read through the last dish listed in the menu on my hand, I felt the presence of someone looming over me. Before I could look up to acknowledge the person, he clears his throat making his presence known.
He pulled his chair to sit at my front while I gently placed down the menu before glancing into his eyes. I subtly analyzed him before my gaze flickered back to his onyx orbs which had turned into slits.
"You're late." I spoke coldly, my gaze not faltering from his as I awaited his upcoming silly excuse. With a small sigh, I readjusted myself on the seat, his eyes boring into mine, waiting for me to cower at the intensity of his eyes. Much to his dismay I'm not built that way so he had to tear his gaze away from mine for a while before he spoke.
"I'm aware and I apologize." He finally spoke, his voice deep and sharp with an edge to it as his jaw ticked, a frown etched to his features as his gaze returned back to mine. I caught him as he swiftly glanced towards my exposed cleavage, an amusing glint appearing into his iris before he masked them up.
Now, this would be the first time I'd be seeing this guy, Nicholas Westwood. The heir to the Westwood empire. Just as I had heard, he exhibited the said aura and holds up to his standards being rumored around. But, something about him irked me.
Just as I was forced to this date, I'm sure he was also forced into it as our parents wanted an alliance through marriage, to become the biggest Tech companies in the country with each others help.
I had expectations, I wasn't depressed or sad when I heard we were to have a dinner date together, neither was I happy or ecstatic. I was numb, void of emotions cause I knew the deal of someone who was born into an ancestors of Business owners. It's either arranged marriage or nothing.
But I expected more from him. He thinks just because he was an eye candy to some ladies he could behave however he pleases, those thoughts should rather stay in his head or should only emit within the circles of women he f***s with.
"You see, I expected more on our first date from you Mr Westwood." I spoke calmly, leaning towards the table which made my boobs pop out more. His eyes darting towards them which made me clear my throat with an eyeroll. "My eyes are up here."
"I'm aware but I'm also aware you dressed to impress, to impress me." He confidently spoke making me smirk.
"I actually did but seeing you now....isn't well, what I had expected." I gestured bitterly to him.
"Enlighten me. What did you expect?" He asked, crossing his arms around his built frame which doesn't impress me in the slightest. I leaned back into my seat to study him more, our table filled with silence. "You didn't expect someone this good looking?" He added with a subtle smirk.
He thought it was all about the look? Yes, he was good looking and had a nice figure which screams 'I gym a lot.' But his whole personality screamed fuckboy and his ego, oh my it's quite disturbing. Not someone I would move with on the outside.
Deciding to stroke his already hardened ego, I replied; "yes, you exceeded my expectations with your looks."
A smile etched to his lips which would have been beautiful if he had a nice personality. "Well, what can I say, I'm the only Nicholas Westwood in the world and also Top one eligible bachelor in the city." He spoke with pride. "Honestly, you should be happy you met me." He paused briefly, his smile changing into a flirty one. "A lot of girls would kill for this moment you're having." He finished with a lick on his lips.
That did it for me. Not wanting to cause any drama. I stood up gently, picking up my purse and phone from the table as I turned on my heels and began to work towards the entrance.
"Where are you going?" He whispered yell as he followed behind me. "Hey! Anna!" He yelled after me as we got into the driveway. Fuckface didn't even bother to know my name. What a waste of space. "Hey I'm talking to you!" He called out, taking a hold of my wrist which made me pull to a halt, abruptly.
His grip on my wrist slowly loosen as he came into my line of view. "I was talking to you and you didn't stop, why?" He demanded with a furrowed brow.
"You did?" I questioned innocently. "I didn't hear you call my name."
"I did, I called Anna multiple times-"
He didn't get to finish his sentence before my fist landed to the side of his face. It hurts like a b***h but it was worth it.
His eyes turned into a death glare as he gripped my hand with his left palm while his right held unto his face I had fisted.
"What his your problem woman?" He questioned irritatedly. "Are you insane!" He snarled.
With a scoff, I jerked my hands freely from his captive. "A quick advice, you should learn the names of your dates before bringing them to one" I spoke, walking off but halted midway as I turned my gaze back to him. "And you should try to lessen your ego when you're talking about your physical appearance cause you might need to get another rhinoplasty because of me." I finished and stormed off into my car, leaving him baffled at the middle of the packing lot.
Driving over to Ren's place, knowing it was the only place for me to find comfort.
