Early the next morning, a misty white fog blanketed the island, and a light drizzle fell steadily, making the sky dim and uninviting, hardly the kind of weather that motivated anyone to get out of bed. The defensive structures they had spent the entire previous day building proved to be highly effective. There was no disturbance from wolf packs overnight, allowing them to sleep soundly and peacefully.
