THE BASEMENT
“Get in there! Go on, move!” X Ray’s harsh voice echoed along the corridor as Baz Brick and the guards dragged Alice, Sam and Belle down to the Town Hall basement. There was no light and all they could see were glimpses of harsh walls as they flashed by in the light of the Guard’s torches.
“Alright, calm down X Ray.” said Sam as he was pushed in the back.
“X! You call me X!” He produced a huge bunch of keys and unlocked a heavy iron door. “You won’t be getting out again in a hurry,” he leered. “Chain them to the wall.”
“No!” screamed Belle as she struggled against Brick.
“You don’t have to push!” Alice yelled angrily to X who had shoved her.
X grabbed her and pulled her face close to his. “Anymore out of you...”
