As I stepped aside for Theo, I felt the heat of his fury radiating through the room like a blazing fire. His eyes with rage. his entire body tense with barely restrained chaos. He didn’t even spare me a glance.
He closed the distance between them in two long strides, his Nyx, exhausted, barely had the strength to lift her head. Theo bent down and cupped her face in his hands, his fingers pressing into her pale skin, though she didn’t flinch.
“You dare betray me?” His voice was low, dripping with menace.
Nyx said nothing. Not even a sigh. She just looked at him with those eerie eyes, filled with a silent, agony.
