Sienna's POV

I released a sigh of relief as I did the finishing touches of my makeup finally ready. Julian was in a heated argument about something in the sitting room already ready to leave, if it wasn't for this call he probably would have gone without me and TGAF would have ruined the whole 'go against him vibe' so I can say I do have grace.

I pushed myself up from where I sat in front of the mirror doing a little twirl for Lila, "How do I look?" I asked about straightening the creases that had formed on my dress from sitting.

"You are definitely going to be turning heads" She squealed in excitement.

"I know right" I giggled while doing another twirl. I had settled for a fitted black dress that Lila said whispered authority and that was exactly what I needed if I was going to show Julian exactly what I am made of. The high neckline and long sleeves balanced the daring open back, the perfect way to appear confident even though my emotions are everywhere. I sleeked my hair back in a bun, with red lipstick, and silver stilettos to go. Julian would learn I am not a pushover.

"You know if Juian Thorne is the possessive type then he may just have to fly over there to keep you away from the eyes you would be getting tonight" she joked immediately killing my mood.

"Yeah sure but thankfully he isn't that type of man, you know I have never liked those types of men" I mumbled my mood already sour.

"Hmm well this is the first trait he possesses that makes it seem more believable that you agreed to date him" she voiced out.

"I guess you can say that" I shrugged my heart hurting from telling her so many lies.

For so many reasons, I just wanted to give up and tell her the truth, make her understand, and just explain everything to her from the beginning but no matter what, I am after all bound by a contract.

"I have to go now but I promise to reach out if anything comes up" I dismissed. I can't hear Julain's voice anymore meaning he should be done with his call.

"You'd better do"

I forced a smile," I will"

"Okay then, have fun" she beamed.

"It is a business dinner, Lila not a party" I responded, rolling my eyes.

"Doesn't mean you still don't get to have fun especially with how beautiful you look, it will definitely be a fun night"

Well, I can't agree to that.

"That's fine Lila, I will 'have fun' but right now I gotta go" I quickly said as I heard footsteps approaching the door.

"Bye, Lila" I ended the call before she could even respond just as a knock sounded on the door.

I braced myself before speaking up, "It's open"

I was about to start the long defense speech I had planned for Julian concerning tonight but when I looked up the person standing at the door was definitely not Julian, not when in a black gown, white apron, and a really funny-looking cap.

"Uhm hello" I tried to hide my disappointment and shock but I guess I was failing at it with the way the woman stared.

"I am sorry if I disrupted what you were doing but Mr.Thorne asked me to confirm with you what you would like to eat tonight" She apologized casting her eyes to the ground as if wanting to avoid my gaze. Do I make her uncomfortable?

"Where is Mr.Thorne exactly?" I asked the only question I wanted an answer to.

"Oh Ma'am, Mr, Thorne just left some minutes ago, he instructed me to come to you and then he headed out. He seemed to be in a hurry, is there a problem Ma'am?" She said in a hurried voice.

He left? He said he was going to check back before leaving....except he knew what I had planned.

"That d**k" I muttered under my breath immediately regretting it as I noticed the woman's wide eyes.

"I am fine for now but I will let you know if I need anything," I said referring to her earlier question. She nodded, turning to leave the shock on her face still quite evident.

"I am sorry but please do you by any chance have an idea where his meeting could be?"

The expression on her face told me she definitely wasn't expecting my question, "I am just the person who takes care of the penthouse and the people on it, I don't know anything about personal activities"

Oh, she doesn't even work for Julian directly, that explains something.

"My bad, I got a little confused there" I forced out a laugh to ease the awkwardness.

"That's fine Ma'am. I am around, when you need me just use this bell and I will come to you" she pointed at a little button by my bedside. Well, isn't that convenient?

"Thank you I will"

She nodded, taking that as her cue to walk. I decided to go for plan B. Julain wouldn't even see it coming.

"Leah" I called out once she picked up, always available. It's like being a secretary just comes so naturally to her.

"Miss Blake? You should be at the meeting by now. Did something happen?" She asked, sounding worried.

"No Leah, everything is fine. Julian asked me to help him get some really important documents he forgot and now I need a way back. The driver had to go on an errand for him and I can't seem to reach Julian. I was hoping you could help me get a car that can take me back there on time" I said, wincing at my lie.

"He forgot a document? That is very unlike Mr.Thorne" she said with doubt in her voice that she didn't even bother hiding.

Should have thought of something better, "Trust me I am even more surprised myself. My darling has just been thinking of a lot of relevant things. " I giggled like a high school girl trying to hint at something I could never even imagine myself doing with Julian.

There was a shift in the air telling me that she indeed got the message.

"Right. Someone will call you soon" she dismissed. She definitely doesn't want to hear about Julian and I's non-existent s*x life that's for sure.

"Oh thank you, Leah. You are really a live saver like Julian always says" I appreciate it.

"Just happy I could be of help," she said, maintaining her professional tone.

"Same here. I have to get going thank you once again"

"Always ready to do my job" she mummified the doubt and skepticism in bee cover still very much evident but I couldn't care less, I have already gotten what I want.

I nodded as I ended although I knew she couldn't see it.

Julian thinks he is smart, and will show him smart.
