Julian’s POV "Sir, the plane is ready," Leah whispered into my ears. It was already some minutes past 2 and we are supposed to be on our way now but my current meeting is taking longer than expected. "Okay, check if Sienna is back, we leave in fifteen minutes" "She never left, Sir," Leah informed, shocking me. "She suddenly didn't have something urgent to attend to?" I chuckled. Always using every opportunity to show her cunning little self, typical. "I really don't know sir, but I know she never left the building" "That's fine, tell her to wait for me in my car, I will be down shortly" I instructed turning to continue what I was saying and she took that as her cue to leave. **** "Start the car, Thomas" I instructed my driver to raising the window between the driver's seat and the passenger's seat back up. The car started the next minute and we were headed for the airport. Sienna sat at the furthest end of the car as far away from me as she could. She kept bouncing her legs as she looked out the window, totally avoiding my gaze and denying the fact that she knew I was staring straight at her. "I thought you had something urgent to do? You made it back in time" I started deciding to say what was on my mind. "Don't act like you don’t know I never left" she shot back with so much malice in her voice. "I was in a meeting how was i supposed to know you lied and didnt actually go anywhere" She scoffed shaking her head, "You can say whatever you want, I don't care" "Of course you don’t. That's all you do, lie and act like it was nothing" I continued wanting to push her. Her eyes finally turned to mine, rage and something extra in them, "You egoistic bastard, you never care to find out anything, you just sit and make your conclusions and you expect me to do what? Humor you? Of course not" the malice and anger in her voice wasn't unexpected but yet it caught me off guard. "You don’t get to speak to me in that manner, ever" "And who made such rules?" She spat back, defiance in her eyes. "Dare me, Sienna" How dare she? She is in my freaking car and about to get on my plane and she thinks she has the upper hand, she must really be high on something. “I am in no mood for you today, Julian so do me a favour and keep me out of whatever is wrong with you or you might as well drop me so I can go back home” I chuckled darkly before responding, “If this car stops and you happen to come down just forget about your job or any job at all as long as this city is concerned” I threatened making sure my voice gave off how serious I was being. She went silent, her eyes staring at me with shock but there was a trace of disgust in them too and I can’t blame. I am disgusted with myself too, I don't have to say that. “And I thought you would be different” She murmured, casting her eyes back outside not saying anything else. I knew I had gone over the top but the recurrent image of her and backstabbing Damon so close together held me from apologizing. **** “Mr Thorne, we are here” Thomas’s voice came from the car speakers. I sighed turning to face Siena but the look of dread on her face threw me off guard. “Is it so bad to be on the same plane with me?” I asked, keeping my voice neutral. She scoffed, loudly, “ Don’t flatter yourself, ‘Mr, Thorne’ “ We sat in silence the whole ride, Sienna watching the road pass by lost in thoughts while I watched her…trying to figure out what exactly had her in such a mood because I more than sure it is not me, she has never allowed me have that kind of effect on her and it surely cannot start now. "I don’t need to, you have already made it pretty obvious" I responded keeping all emotions out of my voice. Every woman I have met in my life would kill for an opportunity to travel with me and Sienna Blake is seated across from me with a look on her face that told me she would rather be anywhere but here. "Somebody being reluctant about doing something doesn't mean it has anything to do with you. I have better things to do with my life than let anything you say or do affect me" she snapped, already making her way out of the car before Thomas could come around to help her. The cool air hit me as I stepped out of the car. I sighed in exhaustion at the thought of all this. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to go for all these meetings, especially this one but I don't trust anyone else to put Ethan Carr in his place and still maintain our business with him. He may be a douche but I still need him to handle a few things here in New Jersey till the expansion is complete and then I can happily get rid of him. "Thomas, get our things" I instructed walking over to where Sienna stood staring at my plane like it was about to take her life. "It is either you really have a horrible way of expressing yourself or you are truly horrified by a plane" I stated once I got to where she was standing. She immediately schooled her expression into a less readable one and she turned to look at me, "None of the above, shall we?" She c****d her head to the side with a raised eyebrow as she waited for my response. I don’t know why but something felt off about her whole behaviour and even though I will not push further, I just have to look out for anything, can't have her doing anything fishy on my plane now can I?
