Thirty two

Sienna's POV Julian's body went rigid against mine, his face morphing into one of sheer anger. "Sienna, let's go," Julian instructed, grabbing my hand, not too tight, but I could feel his urgency. "Come on, why are you in a hurry, dear brother?" Brother? He has a brother? I pulled back to carefully access his face; his eyes were already on me. "I will explain later," he whispered, already knowing what I was thinking. "Sienna, right?" Julian's brother spoke up, walking closer to where Julian and I stood. Julian quickly pushed me behind him protectively. "Watch it, Ethan," Julian spat pure anger and hatred in his voice. That got me confused. How are they brothers yet acting like sworn enemies? What could have happened between them? "Or what? Too scared she might want me instead?" Ethan taunted, his words shocking me. Is this why Julian didn't want me to come? He was scared I would want his brother? How stupid... I am not even his in the first place. "I am not scared of anything," Julian defended, but there was something... an emotion in his voice that told me that he is indeed scared of something, although it may not be what Ethan thinks. "Then prove it. No need to hide her. Let Sienna and I get acquainted." But I just met him and I already hate him. "I am not interested," I finally spoke out, stepping out from behind Julian, but he didn't let me take a step forward. "Ah, stubborn. I like it." Ethan smiled, his eyes sparkling with excitement like some prize to be won over. "f**k off, Ethan," Julian cursed. "She is so pretty, you know. Wonder what she tastes like, most definitely better than she looks. Before Ethan could realize what was happening, Julian had sent a punch his way. It hit him so hard he stumbled back, almost falling. Everything else happened so fast, I barely caught up. The guests at the restaurant began leaving while some remained taking pictures and videos as the two brothers fought. I kept yelling and pleading with Julian to stop, but my pleas fell on deaf ears as he sent punch after punch Ethan's way, while Ethan did his best to block the ones he could. Ethan's security finally managed to get Julian off Ethan, but Julian kept struggling, his face filled with pure rage. "Julian, please stop," I cried, putting myself in his view so he could look at me instead of the deadly look he was giving Ethan. Immediately, his eyes locked with mine; he stopped struggling. He just stood still as they held him. "Please let him go," I said. The two men stared at me like I had grown a second head. "You better do as she said or things would get much worse right now." Julian's voice was now deadly calm, but they know better than to not do as he said. Their hands fell to their sides almost immediately...pussies. "You bastard!" Ethan yelled as his men helped him off the ground, his hand on his now bleeding nose. "You just broke my freaking nose!" he cried out. "Don't ever f**k with me again, Ethan. This isn't five years ago anymore. I could f*****g kill you and wouldn't even flinch," Julian spat out slowly, his eyes narrowed. Five years ago? What happened five years ago? "You are so going to regret this, I promise you," Ethan yelled as he let his men lead him away, probably to go clean his wounds. My eyes unconsciously scanned the room, taking in the amount of people who had their phones out, taking videos and pictures. This is going to be so bad for us... we are definitely going to be the talk of the city once we get home. "Let's go," Julian said in a sudden, cold voice that threw me off balance. I turned to face him, and the look in his eyes took my breath away. Anger... blame... and regret? He wasn't even trying to hide it; he was outrightly blaming me for what just went down. I scoffed, irritation creeping up my spine. "Of course," I responded in a clipped voice, picking my purse from the seat I had dropped it and headed for the exit before he could say anything else. The ride back to the penthouse was filled with tension and very uncomfortable silence. Julian drove this time, his hand gripping the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white. He completely ignored me all the way like I wasn't even present, and I didn't bother saying anything, not when I was being blamed for doing nothing. The car stopped right in front of the large building, but none of us moved. None of us tried coming down. We just sat, lost in our own different thoughts... then I decided to take the bold step. "You don't even need to say the word, I can see the blame in your eyes, but I just want to make one thing clear: Nothing that happened tonight was my fault." I voiced out, but my eyes solely focused on Julian as I awaited a response or at least a reaction from him, but I got nothing. "You brought me all the way from New York for absolutely no reason, even when you knew I didn't want to leave. Do you even have the faintest idea how it felt to feel like that again? To feel helpless, stupid for being so scared of a plane? The feeling of the world closing in on you?" I continued, tears now coming to my eyes. "Of course you don't, how could you? But then after everything, you expected me to just sit and wait for you to go for the same meeting you brought me all the way here for? You must really be delusional." I spat out, a stray tear falling from my eye. I quickly cleaned it off, grabbing my purse and alighting from the car before Julian could stop me. Fucking asshole.
