Sienna's POV
I watched the roads pass by, the city lights illuminating the beautiful city. A car had arrived in no less than fifteen minutes after I had called Leah and now we were on our way to wherever Julian was.
Something in me kept pulling at me trying to tell me that this was a bad idea but I have already come this far might as well complete the journey plus pissing Julian off is so much fun.
"We have arrived, Miss Blake"The driver informed as the car slowed down coming to an abrupt stop.
A large building stood beautifully at the side of the road, it was entirely made of glass which made it stand out amongst the other large buildings here.
Of course Julian would have his meetings in places that scream money, I doubt he knows what the world simply even means.
"Thank you" I appreciated as I stepped forward from the car bracing myself as I took in the large building in front of me.
How the hell am I supposed to find Julian here?
I straightened the creases that had formed on my dress taking a heading towards the building. Someone must definitely know where he is.
****
If the exterior was beautiful then the interior is jaw-dropping. It felt like I had stepped into a whole different world on its own. New York has so many hustings like that but something about this one felt so unique and extra I couldn't help my shock.
Whoever put up this structure has really good taste, that's for sure.
"Excuse me, Miss" Someone called out from behind me startling me a little bit but I didn't let it show.
I turned to face who it was and a young handsome face greeted me, he was dressed in what I presume was the worker's uniform which easily helped me identify who he was.
"You work here right?" I confirmed just to be sure.
"Yes Miss I do, are you lost? What name is your reservation under? I can help you find your table" he asked all flat once, his eyes farting around the room like he was trying to monitor everyone.
Creepy.
"Uhm, I don't really have a reservation, I am here with Mr.Thorne" I sucked in a breath as I said it, praying in my heart that Julain hadn't said anything to them, I can't get sent out of a place like this. That will be a total embarrassment.
"Mr.Thorne?" He repeated now looking at me with raised eyebrows. It seems I now have his total attention, his eyes sweeping my body like he could know if I was lying from my outfit.
Typically to be judged by your status in a place like this. Julian can never have a meeting in a normal mundane place, always ready to flaunt his wealth.
"Yes, I am his girlfriend" I held myself from visibly cringing at the words as I said them, and the shock on the man's face he could have just stayed like I was asked to, now I am going to get sent out of this place as sophisticated as this. There is no way someone on here doesn't know me or at least doesn't know Julian’s newest girlfriend, this is going to sabotage a lot and Julian is going to hate it.
"Mr Julain didn't make mention of his girlfriend coming around" the man said the word girlfriend like he was 100 percent sure I was lying.
His eyes continued to scan me like I was below him but I had met worse people to feel intimidated by that.
I smirked maintaining my confidence as I responded, "I didn't know my darling now answers to you"
His eyes widened like he wasn't expecting such a response from me but he quickly masked it up, "I saw him when he walked in and I was the one who asked someone to direct him, he would have at least told the person that directed him so that you could get a warm welcome. So I advise you to leave calmly and don't embarrass yourself any further. You all just keep throwing yourself at a man that doesn't even want you"
I stepped back, his words hitting me hard, is that the stupid assumption he has?
People really need to be taught a lesson to turn for their pea-sized way of thinking. Funny how I put in effort today.
"Just because my dress isn't glittering in the light like a very makeup-caked face here, doesn't make me cheap. It is obvious you are just hungry and you are looking for someone who would tip you even though it is very obvious you didn't deserve one"
"But let me make one thing clear, I don't care how you act around here but never judge a woman you don't know" I warned. I fished out my phone from my pocket quickly as he stared at me as if thinking of what to say next.
I'd better try Julain's line before I do something that would taint what he is trying to build.
"I don't know who you are, Miss but without a reservation you can't be here" he quickly found his choice once again but this time he adjusted his tone....smart man. My words had affected him a little and now he looked shaken up which is exactly what he deserves.
This is definitely ending up on headlines, 'Julain Thorne's trophy girlfriend sent out of a restaurant in New Jersey'.... so much for coming here to piss Julian off.
