Sienna's POV We were now seated in the plane waiting for take off and I felt like s**t. I am even very surprised I made it this far in without acting out, usually the mere sight of a plane so up close was enough to trigger my panic. If I had tried this two or three years ago Julian would have had more to worry about than a meeting in New Jersey. "Would you like me to get anything for you, Miss Blake?" Guess Juliam has done an introduction already. A beautiful elegant woman clad in a black and white uniform asked me, I presume she is the flight attendant. A very pretty and sophisticated one at that, probably one of the many perks of working for the high and mighty Julian Thorne. "No thank you" I smiled politely at her as I declined. She nodded calmly at me before walking away heading towards the next wing where Julian was. If she felt anything because of my refusal, she didn't show the beautiful character every employee should possess. Trust Julian to hire the best. Thankfully Julian is in the next wing of the plane, something about having to settle a few things which obviously he didn't bother sharing although I have a feeling it is more about avoiding me after our fight in the car but I don't care, I have enough to worry about right now. "We are ready for take off, Sir" My ears caught them as the pilot informed Julain and I knew I had made a mistake. Those words threw me off more than I thought they would. My chest constricted in my chest as the reality of everything began to set in. What the f**k am I thinking? I can’t do this, I am already terrified as f**k and the plane isn't even on yet, I am probably going to go unconscious if I can even make it till when we are in the air. I probably should have listened to Lila. Now it is obviously too late to change my mind. I shut my eyes as I heard the engine of the plane start with tears already coming to my eyes. "Excuse me, please where is the bathroom?" I asked the woman from earlier as she was passing back. "Oh, it is in the next three wings to your left" Oh thank goodness I don't have to pass through where Julian is. "Okay, thank you" I appreciated attempting to stand but she immediately stopped me. "Oh no, Miss Blake, you can't go anywhere yet till the plane has taken off" She quickly said, I could hear the confusion and slight judgment in her voice. I didn't linger on it, at least not now. I guess she isn't used to Julian bringing in women who didn't know the simple rules of the plane, so much for a good character though. "Oh sorry" I muttered trying to hide my fear as I adjusted myself back on the seat. So much for hiding away till I can get a grasp of my emotions. "It's fine. Would you mind water at least? Mr.Thorne would not like it if he found out you didn't take anything" 'Like he cares' I wanted to say so badly but I held myself. Can't ruin Julain's reputation in front of HK's staff, it isn't necessary no matter how much of a douchebag he is. "Sure I don’t mind water" I pushed a smile through. She nodded quickly walking away to get through the water giving me my well-deserved space to figure out how I am going to make it through this. "It is just a plane, Sienna, you can do this. You are not that little girl from so many years ago. You are a woman now, you are a mother too and you have to be strong" I mum way, I have to be stronger than this. “Good afternoon, Mr. Thorne and Miss Blake. We’re cleared for takeoff. The flight to New Jersey will take approximately two hours and twenty minutes. The weather looks clear all the way. We’ll be cruising at forty-one thousand feet. Please make yourselves comfortable, and ensure all seatbelts are on, we’ll be airborne shortly.” The pilot's voice came in through the speakers, spiking my fear even more. "I can do this, I can do this" I chanted. My hands suddenly felt clammy as I held them together trying to brace myself. I hurriedly pulled out my AirPods from my bag, deciding to try something more distracting. Music always helps right? "Here you go, Miss," the woman said, drawing my attention to her outstretched hands in front of me. I didn't even notice when she walked by, this is bad. "Thank you" I murmured while taking the water from her. "Are you okay, Miss Blake?" She has a concerned yet conflicted look on her face like she wasn't sure she was supposed to ask me such but she couldn't help it. I forced a smile through as I nodded, " I am fine thank you" "Okay, Miss Blake, we are taking off in the next few minutes please remain seated till the plane is in the air" I nodded not wanting to say anything else. She gave me one last glance before walking away. She already thinks something is wrong. I have to be stronger than this. I pictured the little happy moments of life I have had, the times with Lila, with Mum. The late-night conversations with Lila back in college, our wild party nights we would usually go for just to make me feel better with myself. The little baking sessions with Mum just before she leaves for work just so that I could have enough cookies for Lila and me before she comes home. The plane jerked forward a little as it moved and that did the work, the panic set in, the fear, the feeling of everything from that day over and over again. The walls suddenly felt like they were closing in on me, the thing I feared most. Planes and other little spaces, small enough to give room for anyone to do anything, too little for anyone to escape, just like it was too little for me to have made my escape.
