Twenty Seven

Sienna's POV Shit. The perfect way to describe my day today and how I am feeling right now. Julian witnessed everything, heck he was able to calm me down before k could pass out, something that has never happened before. If this had happened if he had just let me be when I said I couldn't go, now he has seen the worst side of me that only Lila and Mum have ever witnessed. Lila is going to lose her freaking mind, I haven't called since we last talked after promising to keep her posted all the way. I quickly pulled my phone out of my purse sighing at the number of missed calls I had. Twenty from Lila and two from Mum. Guess Lila didn't say anything to her or my phone would have been blown up with calls by now. The last text from Lila actually got me laughing so hard. 'You stubborn best friend of mine, something had better not have happened to you because you only go silent when something is wrong. If you don't call or text me in the next hour I will fly over there and trust me that boss of yours won't have so much more to worry about than whatever it is that bothers him most' there were so many angry emojis behind the message that it almost looked like the emoji was the main message she was trying to pass. It has been thirty minutes since she sent the message meaning thirty more minutes since she will storm down here, working it just be fun to let her? "Hey Lila," I said with a little wince as she picked up on the first ring, she was really waiting for a call. "What the fuckjng hell, Sienna?" she cursed angrily. "I am so sorry, Lila. I really wanted to call but things just got so busy I didn't even know how time passed" "You really did it?" I couldn't miss the shock in her voice, she sounded utterly taken aback and I can’t even blame her. I can't believe I did get on that plane after all I have been through. "I guess you can say that" I shrugged not wanting to lie but I don't want her to lose her mind too. "Sienna..." her voice traded off suspicion. Before I could say anything to her she had already switched the call to a video call, I should have thought of that. Her eyes widened as she took me in, "Sienna, what exactly happened? You bet bet better not lie to me" "Lila, I am okay" I tried but she wasn't having it. "Sienna, it wasn't a request. Start talking" I sighed giving up, I described everything that happened to her, well everything I could remember at least. "Really Sienna, after everything I said you still put yourself through all this. Do you have to be so freaking stubborn all the time?" She snapped, she was seething now and I couldn't be any happier that I was far away from her. "I didn't think it would get so bad, I thought I was getting better," I admitted. I want to be better, I can’t keep letting the past control my every action. "And you didn't think to start little, you decided to go big". Her anger is totally understandable but a part of me wanted to try and see. "You better not be planning on getting on another flight back here" she continued. I couldn't hold myself back as I burst out in laughter. "How else am I supposed to make it back to my dearest best friend?" I continued laughing. "Don't ask me, you were the one who decided to go on a plane after so many warnings" she shot. "Okay Lila dearest, I will find my way back" I chuckled rolling my eyes. The heaviness in my chest remained but it felt good talking to her even with her anger, she always has her way of calming me down. I was this close to losing my cool with Juliana. "You'd better do" "I will but for now I have to go, we have a meeting to catch up on to" I informed pushing myself up from the couch I was sitting on. "A meeting? You are still going for the freaking meeting after everything?" She asked, shocked. I smiled before responding, " I have to Lila, it was what brought me here after all. It would be pointless to have come all the way here and not go" "Just pray I don't meet that heartless new boos of yours because he is going to get it so hot from me" she threatened in anger. I should have taken this moment to tell her the truth, or at least make her understand that this was all me. That I was the one who didn't tell Julian about my fear and I am still the one insisting on going even after he asked me not to but instead I played along. "Tryst me, I can't wait for you to meet him too" I mumbled out. "Call me when you are done and you better not give me excuses this time" "I won't Lila, I will call you" I assured. "Okay then, let me see what you plan on wearing because there's no way I am letting you look anything less than perfect," she said, her voice growing excited like she wasn't angry at me a few minutes ago. "You do know that I only came with two outfits and even if you dig them I can't really do much about it" I chuckled. "We would see about that" she mummured. There was shuffling in her background and her face popped back into the screen, her eyes excited. "Okay now let me see" I giggled, placing my phone on the bed and walking over to my unpacked box to bring them out. Lila always knows the right things to say, what will I do without her?
