Sienna's POV "And what about her?" I asked swallowing all the emotions that tried to resurface at the mention of her name. "For someone who is your own flesh and blood, you should really do better" She answered angrily. I knew she wasn't trying to hurt me but she is doing so anyway. She never supported how I treated Brittany from day one and neither did Mum but I couldn't help it no matter how hard I tried, I can't even stand looking at her without everything replaying in my head over and over again. "You want to preach to me now?" "Of course not but come on Sienna, how long do you want to continue like this?" "For as long as it will take, I never complained to you about it, did I?" I asked trying to keep my emotions in check. Why was I always so weak whenever this came up? It's been years already. "Look Sienna, I love you and I am only trying to look out for you, I cannot sit back and watch you make a mistake you will regret," She said bringing her voice down a little. At least she has realized the direction she was heading will not do her any good. "And I am assuring you now that I am not making any mistake" I responded breathing deeply. " If you insist then I am solidly behind you as always" She finally budged, her anger melting in milliseconds. One always beautiful thing about Lila, she was never the one to bear grudges. "Thank you" I sighed, I wasn't sure she accepted everything fully but she wasn't going to be able to change my mind either and I think she has realized that. "So Julian Throrne huh? Come and tell me all about it" She squealed tucking herself comfortably on my bed. I beamed at her as I turned to face her properly hiding the dread that filled my heart as I knew I was about to lie to the one person that has been with me through it all. ~~~~~ "Thorne, there better be a very serious and important reason why you called me out this early on a Saturday morning after the long night we had yesterday" I spoke up as I pushed the door to his office open my eyes glued to my phone as I tried to read the long text message he sent this morning explaining whatever it is he insisted we must do this morning. Quite expected for him to he working this early on a Saturday, he is the CEO of a billion-dollar company and still works as a lawyer in one of the highest firms, no time to be lazing around, right? "Uhm, sweetie," He said in a high-pitched tone snapping my attention from my phone to him. My suspicions were right, the only reason he would call me that was if we had company and unfortunately we did. "Oh darling, I didn't realize we have visitors" I quickly adjusted my tone walking further into the room. "Please don't mind my manners, it just gets so infuriating when my Darling here brings me out so early on a Saturday morning, he keeps forgetting a lady needs her beauty sleep" I joked eliciting a light laughter from the two people sitting across Julian’s desk. A man and a woman, who are definitely still very young adults, both professionally dressed with jotterpads in their hands, if I didn't know any better I would say they looked like reporters. "Sweetie, this is Jeromy and Alex, they are reporters from StoryGrid media and they are here to get an exclusive from us" Julian introduced pushing himself up from his seat. I guess I really don't know any better than. "Another note to self Sienna, Julian Thorne really knows nothing about taking things slow" I muttered under my breath making sure only Julian heard me. His eyes shone in amusement as he smiled moving his hand to my waist I a loving manner but I knew it was only to infuriate me more. "We are so sorry for dropping by this early in the morning, uhm Miss Blake, right?" The woman spoke up first. "Yes that's fine, and it is alright. I understand all of this feels rushed for you all too" I said making sure Julian knew my last statement was directed at him. "It is Miss Blake, and you know the competition, we have to do it before some wanna be blogger makes up some information of their own that may not be so favourable" She replied smiling warmly. "I totally understand, that definitely sounds like something a 'wanna be' blogger can do" I chuckled. "Okay then, I am glad we are all on the same page, we should get started right?" The man finally spoke up standing protectively behind his partner but something in me told me they were more romantically involved than professionally. "Sure thing but please I would love to talk to my Darling here for some minutes," I said sweetly already heading towards the door to his inner office before any of them could respond. At least I have seen one use for all the numerous rooms in just one office. "What's wrong sweetie?" Julian beamed as he shut the door. "Oh please, cut the crap. There is no way the door and these walls aren't soundproof" I shot at him rolling my eyes. "Oh they are but these names are starting to grow on me, don't you think so, darling?" He chuckled wiggling his eyebrows at me. "You know when I was ten my mum let me pick up martial arts as an after-school activity and I was so good at it that she made me stop after I broke a student's arm for trying to bully me. I can still remember vividly all I learnt. I know a hundred and one ways I could hurt you but they would have no clue at all" I smirked leaning calmly on the desk behind me. "Oh I am so scared," he said feigning a crybaby face. I am so going to kill this man. " You should and will be soon" I threatened. "Come on Blake, loosen up. What's the fun in dating a Billionaire like myself without a press release" He said, shaking his head like he really couldn't fathom why I was so worked up about it. "Fake Dating you mean" I groaned more angry at his nonchalance to my lack of excitement than anything else. "Well they don't think so, and we better get going before they start thinking otherwise" He winked at me before walking out of the room leaving me seethe in anger all by myself. Julian 100 Sienna 0
