I brought the dress to the counter, and the employee scanned it and then told us the total. Amanda's eyes nearly bugged out of her head when she heard the amount.   The employee had noticed Amanda's expression and smiled. "You don't need to worry about the price," she explained. "Alpha Alexander has already covered the cost."   "What a strange man," Amanda said. "He's so loose with his money, and whenever I see him, he's casually lounging around. It's a wonder how anything gets done in his pack when he's never working."   Her negative comments about Alexander angered me, but I forced myself not to react.   "That's very kind of Alpha Alexander," I said to the employee, "but I don't feel it would be right to allow another man to pay for my wedding dress."   "That's right," Amanda
