Epilogue Most great love stories never end well, mine was no exception. However, before everything fell apart, it began the way most love stories do, with a lie. It was an unusually warm summer in the kingdom of Chilali that year. Ball gowns and parties for my brother the king and his wife bored me. They invited royals from neighboring kingdoms but tensions were still high among the newer kingdoms. Many of them refused to attend. Not that it mattered since no one of interest ever came. The scents and sounds of varied life outside the castle walls propelled me into the hills to escape my constricted family ties. I avoided the cliffs keeping to the inner woods where I could find the best game. Dressed in thin leather skins and boots, I ventured to the forest on the hunt for wild beasts. A
