60I got Tom and Pat seated in front of the monitor. Filled their mugs while I set up the scene I was about to show them.
“On June twenty-second,” I began, “Ramsey brought his brother Quenton to the San Diego facility.”
“Quenton Ramsey is the cabinet minister?” Pat asked.
“Secretary of Commerce,” I confirmed.
“Ramsey wanted Jeff to brief the brother,” I added. “Jeff met them in a conference room that’s designated secure. It’s not on the CCTV system. Regularly swept for bugs. Jeff mounted his own spy cameras before they arrived.”
My eyes met Tom’s. “You saw Jeff later that day. You told me he was hopping mad. During the first part of this video, Ramsey says nothing to trigger Jeff’s fury. I’ll start this just before Jeff leaves the room.”
I inserted the drive and found the right spot.
