I followed Geoff to find him at lunch with a nurse from the hospital; I watched them interact, sharing jokes, and I was jealous because she was beautiful. I walked in as everyone bowed, and my aura was strong as a queen, but it didn't affect Geoff; I was surprised because he was just a head warrior or general, whichever title you use. He sensed me and looked around; he wasn't shocked, but looked confident, and didn't fear me, which infuriated me more. I walked over to the nurse who bowed her head against my aura; I didn't care what this looked like to anyone in the restaurant because he was my mate, and I was staking my claim. I yelled, "Who the f**k is she?" He pulled me into his lap and inhaled my scent, calming me down, my n*****s hardened, and he whispered, "This is my ex, Peggy, we broke up when I found you, she asked me to meet her to give me the rest of my things from the appartment since she also found her mate."

He kissed my lips, and I moaned; he mind-linked me, "Let the people up, my love," and I pulled my aura back, and he calmed the wolf inside me, but I was still jealous. I looked at Peggy and said, "Stay away from my mate, or I will have you killed," I heard gasps around the restaurant, and the people cheered because I had found a mate, which surprised me. I closed my eyes, knowing I couldn't keep it from the council anymore; they would try to put Geoff on the throne as a man. I saw a sexy man walking over to us; he had drinks in his hand, giving one to Geoff, and kissed Peggy on the lips; Geoff said, "This is Peggy's mate, Rex, he owns a mining company not far from here," and I smiled. He kissed my hand, introduced himself, and said, "Your Majesty," he was so polite, and I joined them for lunch; I actually enjoyed it.

I was feeling things for Geoff, he was handsome and had a nice body, and the s*x was amazing, could I be in love with him? I felt a kiss on my cheek, and I looked at Geoff, smiling at me before continuing his chat with Rex. However, they seemed to have known each other longer, Peggy was looking at Geoff and then Rex; could it be she still loved him even though she had found her mate? He was Cayden's strength, and weakening him would kill Cayden; however, I was told that, in some way, their souls were linked, but I was unsure of how they were connected. We already ensured that Allison would be out of the picture, and now it is time to finish Cayden, making it easier to take over the Kingdom. Hopefully, by ending Michael, Cayden will be weak, and then we can strike and have him as our puppet. After my phone call with Sheila, my goals will soon be accomplished; I have time before we bring down the Supreme Four and all who help them. I couldn't wait to avenge Roman and put my son on the throne in his rightful place.

I always go back to the promise I made to Roman; this was his legacy, and nothing was going the way it was planned, and I need to stop thinking about a happy ending with Geoff. He left angry earlier when he saw I was making plans to attack and bring down Roman's enemies; we had a heated argument, but I had to remind him I was Queen, and he walked off. Later that night, Geoffrey was in my bed as I walked in to shower, and he looked at me, I hated how he looked at me, as if he was disgusted with me for wanting revenge for my former mate. He was my second chance mate, and I was angry the moon goddess blessed me with another mate when all I wanted was Roman. I dropped my robe and walked over to the bed, I really needed a good f**k right now, no arguments, I wanted to be stress-free waiting for the good news at the funeral.

I knew Esme would have me followed after one of her guards saw me speaking with Peggy a few days ago, so I came up with a plan to let her jealousy force the mark. However, I didn't expect her to do the following herself; her paranoia of being betrayed has a chokehold on her because of what Roman did. She didn't see that if she stopped this madness and changed her ways, everyone would be loyal to her. I planned to make Rex my beta and his brother my gamma once I became king, and Rex was going to pretend to be Peggy's mate. I knew things were complicated for me and Peggy because we had a love affair until I told them I was mated to Esmerelda, it hurt for a while because I knew she had fallen in love with me and I had plans to be with her once I was king, but things changed, and we remained friends.

Emerelda let her jealousy and need to control everything and everyone around her take over, forcing her to admit in front of many people, including one of her council members, that I was her mate. This set the ball rolling for me to be king; I saw him smile and walk out to let everyone know the good news, and we settled down, but Peggy's presence triggered her, and she snapped. I took her out of there and pretended to be angry at her, which helped sell the idea so she would mark me; I refused to sleep in the same room for days, and after seeing her plans for Faeora, I put on the pressure and before the night was over, I was in her bed. I knew it was now or never, and I marked her in the heat of the moment before we climaxed; I thought she was about to blow up on me, but instead, she marked me back, and we lay in bed cuddling with each other until sleep caught us.

I woke up the next day, finally mated to Esmerelda; I felt the rogues I would rule over, and my rebels cheered as our plan worked, and I just needed to change things. Peggy mind-linked me and said, "I guess the plan worked, she walked into your trap with the lunch date," and I smiled and said, "Tell Rex thanks for pretending to be the loving mate." He joined in and said, "No problem, now get us positions so we can force her hand," and I acknowledged and closed the link. Later, I head down to the courtyard and see everyone bowing to me; I was her king consort, and once it is made official, I will have more access to change things unless she crowns me, giving me a higher ranking than her. Knowing Esmi, she already knew that and would do no such thing, so I would make small changes behind the scenes; however, I was falling for her and hoped I could change her outlook on things; she was my mate after all.

Two Weeks Later

I was angry, Geoff had marked Esmi, and I was running out of time; everyone had already started respecting him as king consort, just like they used to do before with me, but it was different. Geoff started changing many rules around the palace, and since their private wedding, I have been more jealous than ever; the only problem was that I was attracted to Geoff. I felt like I belonged with both of them, even though I had a hate/love relationship with Esmi, and I still hated her for taking Teri from me. Geoff thought Esme and I were over as far as I knew, but we weren't, we still f****d around, and she made sure I was watched, so I don't cheat according to her, but I was tired of this and promised next time when the time was right, I would mark her too. Maybe she would die from a double mark and I could have Geoff for myself, I closed my eyes and asked, "What the f**k was I thinking?" I need to get him out of my head if I want to be king, because I will need to take him out too, and I have a plan brewing.
