Chapter 28: Insanity Part 2

1688 Words
(s****l Content) Jerrod I was talking with Logan, who made it back in time for the award ceremony; he seemed happy about his trip, and I turned my attention to Geoff. His mind seemed far away, and I held his hand, mind-linking him, "Hey, love, what's going on in that head of yours?" He said, "There is someone I need to talk to, wait here," kissing my lips, and I watched him walk toward the bar; Rex was talking with Cole, and everything was going well. Peggy had gone to the bathroom, and Diana walked over to me and said, "This party is boring, maybe we can spice it up." I looked at her and asked, "Why not?" Taking her hand and heading to the dance floor, she was a good dancer, and we drew a crowd. Diana was always the life of the party, and I could see why Cole fell for her; we knew she was a demon, but Cole wanted her to tell him first before we let her know that we knew. Back then, she was running from someone; now we know it was Samuel, her daughter's father, they had a unique relationship from what Cole told us, but we had accepted her into the fold. Things in Rogueland were better than when Esmi ran things; I was a drunk, depressed, confused about my sexuality, and my love for Esmi. I saw Peggy walking toward Rex, and then we heard the shot; everyone froze up, and then we saw Rex hit the ground, a shot to the head, and Peggy screamed out, forcing us to move. The crowd ran all over the place as my guards locked down the venue; Peggy had Rex's blood on her hands, she couldn't think like a doctor at that moment, only a mate and wife. Cole held his heart and leaned over, feeling his brother's temporary death, and Geoff ran inside with a man who looked like him. I told the guards to move Rex over to the conference room, resting him on the table; Peggy was shaken up as Geoff tried to console her, reminding her, "Rex will wake up, give him time." She nodded in despair, holding her chest, and then Aidan appeared and put her to sleep; he said, "It's not good for the pups, feeling him like that." He walked over to Rex, healing him so he could wake up quicker; then walked over to Geoff and said, "You have an enemy among you," before teleporting. I looked at Geoff, and he said, "I call him for Peggy's sake," Gunner teleported after I called him and picked Peggy up, and took her back to the palace. Cole and Logan took Rex back there also, and then I turned to Lord Brewster and said, "Get any footage of what happened earlier, someone here has it out for Rex, or they missed one of us." Geoff was upset, and rightfully so; Rex was his best friend, and he would kill for him, I walked over to him and stood in front of him as he looked up at me. He said, "We need to find out who tried to kill Rex," and I held his hand and said, "We will," when we heard a throat clear. Geoff looked around, smiled, and said, "This is Alpha Gregg, my father," and I looked at him, shocked; here stood the man who banished his son for a lie in Rogueland, bowing to a king. He shook my hand and said, "Finally, it's nice to meet you, Lune Jerrod," bowing, and I said, "You can call me Jerrod, leave the formality for special occasions." However, I didn't trust him and mind-linked Geoff telling him such; he said, "I know, I don't trust him either, he was invited as he was one of the investors for the award, since he is also a doctor." ***** Geoff I was shocked when I saw my father's name on the list; we hadn't spoken in years since I was banished from the pack because my younger brother set me up after I caught him in bed with my ex-wife. I never forgave any of them, so I was surprised to see him here, but he pleaded to talk to me, so I went outside by the pool area. We were in a heated argument because I wanted nothing to do with any of them, and he tried to rekindle the relationship. I told him that it was not necessary and had no plans of stepping foot back into the pack; I had a life here. He stopped me and said, "I would never ask you to give this up; you did well for yourself," handing me a picture of my mom and younger sister. I said, "I didn't know I had a younger sister," but Mom got pregnant after I was banished; I missed my mother, but she believed Falcon and his bullshit lies. He said, "I will be in Elvira for the next convention, I will bring your mother there so she can see you," then I heard the shot, and I looked at my father before running off. He followed me to where the screams were, and people ran out the doors; I reached inside to see Peggy's hands shaking with Rex's blood, and he was shot in the head. Someone tried to assassinate him, but he was linked to my immortality. No one knew this, so they risked it; Jerrod had already told the guards to lock down the venue, and I picked Peggy up as she said incoherently, "They shot him." I turned her to face me and said, "Rex would wake up, give him time." I wasn't sure at that moment if she knew Rex would heal. But she was not thinking straight and said, "My babies," holding her baby bump, so I mind-linked Aidan for help before she miscarried. Peggy loved Rex, we all saw it, and it pained me to see her like that; I took her to the room where Rex was laid out on the table, and Cole was in pain, but he masked it. Diana tried to comfort him, taking some of the pain away, and I never saw a rage like that until I looked at Cole; he was on a war path, and I had to calm his Lycan down. Aidan popped in and healed Rex faster, although he had slowly started to heal; Gunner took a sleeping Peggy out of my hands and teleported her back to the palace after Aidan left, warning us of a threat to our camp. He was right; this was an inside job because no one ever got this close to us, and I mind-linked Gunner to start figuring things out. I looked at the table washed away in Rex's blood before turning around and sitting at the edge, I felt my mate close; he stood in front of me, tilting my chin to look at him. I said, "We need to find out who tried to kill Rex," and he held my hand and said, "We will," when we heard a throat clear, it was my father. I had forgotten about him in all the chaos, and I introduced him to Jerrod, and he smiled; he seemed nervous because of the look Jerrod gave him, but he shook his hand. Jerrod always had a protective guard up when it came to me; he was hot-headed and was the shoot first, ask questions later type, and I love that about him. Jerrod mind-linked me about trusting my dad, and honestly, I didn't trust him either, but he was there. Later that night, we were back in the palace, my dad was escorted to a guest room for the night, and he had planned to stay for another two days. I didn't mind, but wasn't sure I was ready to have a relationship with him; I should still be angry, but I am not. ****** Kim I was in my boyfriend's penthouse suite instead of going back to the place, he gave me the key, and I was in bed thinking about Rex, hoping he died. Cadence opened the door, but I never looked around; he went into the bathroom and came out later, all showered, and got into bed naked. He rested his head on my shoulder, kissed it, and said, "Sorry about tonight, I'm glad you are safe." I turned to face him, and he kissed my lips, rubbing his hand on my body; it got heated pretty quickly, and I stopped him and asked, "What happened tonight?" He told me the basics and that Rex survived; I tensed up because I wanted him dead, and he sucked my n****e, taking me out of my thoughts. He rubbed my c**t, and said, "They are linked to the Supremes, so they can't die unless Aidan removes their immortality," and I moaned, feeling the need to c*m. I felt good as Cadence buried his c**k deep inside me, I was lost in s****l bliss as he thrust in and out of me, I scratched his back in ecstasy as our moans echoed in the room. His symbol on his chest glows, knowing he was one of Geoff's elders, I got on top of him, riding his c**k, and threw my head back. He held my waist to guide me up and down, bouncing on his sweet d**k; he pinched my n****e and moaned, "f**k, I'm cumming." I bit my lip before screaming, "Fuckkkkkkk!" Cumming on his c**k, my body shook as I leaned over on him, feeling him c*m inside me. We looked at each other, laughed, and I lay my head on his shoulder; I said, "You knotted me, asshole, I can't move." He laughed, rubbing his hand up my spine and said, "Sorry, it will release soon, and you can take the pill tomorrow." I kissed his lips, and I lay there thinking of finding a way to end Rex for good; I hated him, and he would pay for what he did to me.
