A few days ago, I woke up in a huge bedroom with a headache; I started to remember we had been attacked, and I froze, smelling the most amazing scent coming from the bathroom. It was the smell of fresh rain in the summer, with a little woodsy, masculine musk and peppermint. I knew Esmerelda was planning on attacking us, but I didn't care; I decided to spend time with my very sexy mate, and it was a moment to remember, always. I had a guard in the corridor as Michelle and Lily did the same with their kids; I went to look for Tibbs, but he was not in his room. I mind-linked him and he said, "By the lake," before I heard the growls and dashed out, mind-linking Drax that our son was in trouble.

I dashed out with the warriors on my tail, changing into our wolves; I felt Toffe next to me running, saying, "Drax is there, Ty was already taking on wolves by the southern border, with Tommen by his side, and Aidan was in the north with his son Kyan who came to help." Cayden and Michael had rogues attacking their territory, as we had expected that she would have split everyone so we wouldn't be together. Toffe teleported to the west as that's where most of the Omegas live on that side of the territory, Drax was needed in the east, so I was heading towards my son as he said, "Warriors is helping him, but I'm taking on a lot of rogues," almost like he is the target and Spinx push harder to reach our son. I knew my son was hurt when I got through the trees, and I was angry; I knocked Esmerelda back and told him to get Vasa out, she was scared and couldn't move.

Esmerelda was fighting ferel, she still thought her mates were dead and couldn't sense her children, she was deadly, but so was I. I changed into my human form, and she ran toward the Palace at full speed. I followed until we arrived at the scene of the battle; she saw Geoff and Jerrod standing side by side, and she stopped in front of them, looking confused. We walked over to them, and everyone was watching Aidan walk up. He was full of blood on his chest as he hadn't bathed in blood in a long time; it felt refreshing to him, as he put it. Ty was above us as he landed behind Esmerelda, but she was in a trance and looked at Geoff and said, "How? I felt it," rubbing her hand on her chest in disbelief, her tears flowed when she saw the dagger in Geoff's hand, and she said, "You did this?"

The threat had been neutralized, and we were in the palace square; I told the men to clean up all the dead bodies, and the injured checked out before being sent to the prisons to be handled at a later date. I saw Peggy with a shirt on and washing her bloody hands; I walked over to her and asked, "Are you good, Peggy?" I checked for injuries, and she smiled and said, "I'm good; when is Geoff coming back?" I sighed and said, "Hopefully tomorrow," and she walked off. I met up with Beta Rain and Aza; they were talking with his men, and I smiled, shaking his hand and thanking him for helping us out. He said, "Well, Beta Rex, or should I say, your majesty, it was a pleasure to help out; we hadn't had a good fight since the Civil War." I laughed and said, "Beta Rex is fine, His Majesty will be back soon," and they nodded before getting into their vehicles and heading out.

Later that night, I walked over to Peggy's room, I wanted her to know Geoff would be back in a few days; the door was slightly ajar. I heard small cries and saw her on the bed crying; I closed the door and lay next to her, pulling her close to me, she didn't stop me, and I said nothing, knowing she needed to let it out. I woke up with the sun shining on us, Peggy was still in my arms, and I smiled; I kissed her bare shoulder and mind-linked her, "Morning Peggy, are you okay?" She turned to me and looked me in the eyes, nodded, and confirmed she was okay, and said, "Thank you for staying with me," and I pulled her into an embrace and said, "I'm here for you." I removed loose hair from her face and put it behind her ear, I leaned in, kissing her, and she kissed back; it got heated quickly as I pinched a n****e, hearing her moan. I stopped and said, "I can't, not yet anyway," and she smiled, saying, "I know, I am sorry," and I left her alone, asking her to join me for breakfast as she went to shower.
