Logan took his laptop into the kitchen and sat at the table with Darren. “What do you think of this one?” He turned the computer toward his brother. “It’s furnished.” “That’s good.” Darren peered at the screen and tapped to advance the pictures. “Looks clean. It’s hard to tell online. You can’t get a feel for how the place is laid out.” “I can’t smell it,” Logan said, wondering if he could really get an apartment without seeing it. “Maybe I should just stay in a hotel for a few days.” “You do what you think is right.” Darren had been saying that a lot lately. At least he was talking to Logan. He seemed to be the only one. They hadn’t talked about Darren being left here by himself, but Logan wasn’t going to bring that up.
