Chapter 1

Harley pov

There are so many things happening at the same time. I just want to die at this moment, but I have my brother to care for and I have a plan to get rid of my piece of a s**t father, if you get what I'm saying. It was 5 in the morning, I got ready for school and made breakfast for us. I made my way to my brother's bedroom.

"Noah wake up, you're going to be late," I said while splashing water at him laughing, I always like moments because I know they don't last forever.

"HEY! I am awake ok " he said, I went to look for dad if his usual place and big shocker he's still at the same place as last night.

After our mother died 2 years ago, he started drinking and doing drugs and all the above. Now we are stuck with the useless father. After Noah and I ate our breakfast we made our way to my 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Black car and drove to the new school.

"So are you ready for the first day in a new school" I asked him while his looking in the window.

"Yeah i mean it's gonna be just like the old school just new people" he answered with a sigh.

"Well that's good, meet new people and make friends not like the other school and unroll in football or basketball your good at both of them" I said, i mean he needs a little push so he do what he likes and not afraid of dad would say to him but i am always there to protect him and defend him from everything.

"Ok I'll think about it let's just finish the first day and we'll see" he answered while looking at me then he turned to the window while looking at the road.

"yeah we'll see" i murmured to myself while looking in front of me. The rest of the road went by silent. We arrived at the school it looks like from a movie big gates that has the name written "Roosevelt High School" a little early to get our schedule and get a tour in the school.

We arrived in the school's administration we took our schedule and we are waiting for some girl to come to give us a tour I believe her name is Odette what an odd name.

"Sorry for being late my name is Odette Campbell and welcome to our school" she said with a little attitude.

"Mhm, nice to meet you I'm Harley and this is my little brother Noah and you should drop the attitude it's so early in the morning for it" I said with a little smirk

"Yeah whatever nice to meet you Noah, you not so much " she said with a raised eyebrow

"Nice to meet you too" Noah said with an amusement

"Mhm ok let's just get this over with princess " I said looking down at her. She rolled her eyes and we followed her, she showed all the school and now we're going to see where they do their activities there is a basketball court and football field it's pretty cool here, but the downside is that me and my brother are not on the same side of the school. We'll after finishing the tour Odette went to her friends with a grumpy and bitchy attitude.

Noah went his way to the junior side of the school, and I went looking for my class I think I have chemistry and I reach the classroom exhausted and I am pissed off of my father sending in a text about not arranging the house and making him breakfast, I literally put his share in the table. I am back to reality after Mr. Black talking to me in front of the class.

"Welcome miss. St. James, introduce yourself" he said I hate talking in front of people

"Hello i am Harley St. James and I just moved here with my brother and father"

"Ok well nice to meet you have a seat next to Rachel, raise your hand so she can see you" he said

I looked and here she is sitting raising her hand, she looks smart her hair is blonde se have freckles under her eyes and they are blue, she's beautiful. I took a seat next to her.

"Hi i am Rachel you can call me El if you like" she said with a happy face.

"Nice to meet you too" I said. I looked to my right and there she was sitting gracefully with a girl next to her.

"Stop looking at her she's gonna went to start a fight for nothing, and damn she looks pissed" she said while laughing in the end

"Well I kind of pissed her off in the morning while giving us a tour" I said with a smirk while looking at her waving she rolled her eyes and i winked at her she looks so mad now, i just smiled at her and turned my head to Rachel.

"Damn it's going to be a fun year" she paused and looked at me for a while and said "I like you, come eat lunch with me and my friend Valentina she will like you."

"Thank you I will be there with my brother if you don't mind" I said

"Yeah sure I'll see you there" she said. And the lesson continued and there are soo boring, after this I have history and math they all went boring.

Now it's lunch time and I am so excited to eat but my little brother was running late. There he is finally "well you took your sweet time to get here, let's go we are eating with a friend and her friend be nice"

"sure ok and I am sorry I'm trying to get new friends like you told me" he said

"It's ok i am not mad at you, let's just go see what we are going to eat" after taking our food I looked where Rachel sitting with her friend she pretty I'll give her that, there sitting in the table where Odette sitting with her friends, the table is quite large so they don't talk to each other. I went to the table with my brother behind me, I waved to Rachel as i was passing I gave a wink at Odette and I said "Hi princess" with a wave and a smirk in my lips.

"Sure whatever" she said rolling her eyes, I went next to her and whispered in her ears "I can give you many reasons to roll your eyes sweet little girl " I blow air in her ears.

I looked at her friends "Hello I am Harley new here and that my brother Noah" I said with a smile and they smiled at me "Hi I am Lavinia and this is Beatrix and Lucas" Lavinia said

"Hi " they said at the same time, and you laughed then i looked at Odette and she looked so frustrated and her cheeks turning pink i just smiled and shook my head and went sitting next to Rachel and I can see Oddy from here mhm I like her name.

"Hi I am Valentina, you can call me Val" she smiled and waved

"Nice to meet you" I smiled at her

"So what do you think about the school so far" Val asked

"So far it's good, I like the school" I answered

"Well that's good we have a lot of activities here so you can unroll to any of them, there is from sport to art and school like math competitions and debates of any subjects that you like to do " Val said

"I don't think I am gonna participate in any of them, I just want to get senior year to end and go do what I want" I said

"And what is that" Rachel asked

"That for you after that end of the school year" I answered smirking

"Do you even know that your brother is not sitting with you" Odette asked smirking.

I looked at her, smirking back at her "Of course, he went with Lucian and Kai for about 15 minutes."

"Wow, how did you know that?" Lavinia asked

"He tapped me on my leg before going to his friends," I said smiling

"That sibling for you ladies and gentlemen," Lucas said as the bell ring

After the bell, the rest of the day went pretty boring. My brother and I returned to the house not finding my father, which was good. As I was making dinner for us, my father returned. He said nothing to me, and I am happy about that. After dinner, he went to his drinking habits, as Noah said that he's going to play football with his new friends, which is good because I was going out me too, and I didn't want to leave my brother alone in the house, so it was a win-win.

Before coming to this town, I made some arrangements I had some money from street fights and work I did in the last 2 years so I made a mechanic shop here to help with financing the tuition, and getting my brother away from my father, and buying a house etc.

After dropping Noah at his friend's house I went to the shop to see if there was something I could do before getting my brother. At 11 pm my brother called me to pick him up, when we arrived at the house I found dad laying in the living room passed out drink I just left him be, and I went to my bedroom did my night routine and went to sleep thinking about Odette.
