Chapter 3 : Olivia pov

I can feel my wolf emotions inside me, I took a peak glance at my mate, he was a young guy having a porcelain skin tone, dressed in a back hoodie and blue jean trousers, his deep gaze rested on mine

"He's so cute," my wolf said. I could feel how excited she was about it.

Where was she all this while?? I pondered, I was so lost in thought that the only thing I could remember was that his lips were moving but there were no words that proceeded out of his mouth.

"I'd love to work at your company " I heard the last statement and I sighed, rejecting him would allow me and Pixie (that's my wolf name) to fight, our fights are always long and I'm not in for it.

I looked at the proposal on my desk, I took the black pen with a golden tip which was lying lazily on the table as my signature was placed boldly on his proposal.

I looked up but I couldn't find any expression on his face, why did he look like a cold-blooded animal, I wondered. Silence reigned in the atmosphere as I said my name, breaking the silence.

"Olivia," I said.

He looked at me, his expression said "Did I ask you??" He took a deep breath as he scribbled words on a book only he knew where he got it from.

"Alexander" I read.

A smirk reached his lips as he left the office, leaving me in a confused state on what the smirk meant. I had an inquisitive spirit, just that the things I'm always curious about usually seem weird and odd. I left the office as I saw Alexander and a young man on their way out.

On my way out I pondered "Who's the young man that is capable of making me feel these emotions" The emotions, the feeling seemed weird and awkward to me

"Can't you allow me to have some peace, you're thinking way too much" Pixie said

I could not be bothered about the way Pixie yelled at me and continued thinking, getting to a dead end, I knew that the only way I could answer the questions in my heart was for me to develop a closer relationship with him.

I facepalmed myself when I realized that he could not speak. Anyways communication is bound to occur and I will find all means to communicate with him, I entered the White SUV and drove out of the place.

I went into a nearby restaurant, and stared at the open space with a cup of chocolate ice cream in my right hand, remembering the scene in the office, I did not know when a smile formed on my lips, sitting down, I devised plans on how I was going to get close to the cold-blooded dude, my heart was making loud beats at the sound of his name.

Recovering from my thoughts, black eyes stared at me deeply, "is my mind playing games with me " I wondered as I stared at the figure in front of me, he held a cup of coffee in his hands as he began to drink it elegantly.

For a brief moment, he drank the coffee, I studied him, the way he held the cup was like a piece of jade holding onto something important, afraid of losing the important thing. I was so mesmerized by the sight that I did not realize that he was done with the coffee.

A book was suddenly placed in my front

"Are you done staring" it reads

I looked up to behold the smirk that lay on that porcelain face of his I felt embarrassed.

The awkward atmosphere was interrupted by the arrival of a young man who came to whisper into his ears, his facial expression changed as he stood up, and he looked at me with the look of "We will meet again " with a smirk still playing on his lips, he left the arena.

I was bewildered on the spot as I couldn't comprehend what was going on, I praised myself for being able to maintain my calm amid intense situations but during these periods I lost my calm as I was already getting afraid as I tried to get to the root of the matter on why my expression these periods was so unlike me, remembering how Mia would say "this is unladylike" to the present me, I chuckled as I walked out of the restaurant.

The period of the moon drew nigh as I was supposed to go back to the kingdom and give a report, although I blamed the person who came up with such a rule, it's so stupid, a leader leaving her followers and heading to look for a mate in a faraway land, what was such a person thinking when he came up with such a stupid idea??

I had to accomplish three missions before I got back - finding my mate, getting to know his position and the race from which he originated from, although the only exception I had was that I was the leader of the pack so I got to return to the kingdom anytime I so desired.

I returned to the kingdom, Mia saw me upon my return and said

"Baby girl how's the progress going??"

"Almost completed" I replied.

I was so exhausted from everything that was going on, that I lay on the big bed and slept. I woke up feeling refreshed as I journeyed back to the human realm to continue the mission. At least I had made progress getting to know my mate.

I went to the lounge in the office as I sat down, was the introduction that I delivered not enough?? seemed I would have to give him my hidden identity. I saw him coming close to where I stayed as I held his hands saying.

"Follow me to the office "

Reluctantly, he followed me giving an eye gesture to his assistant that he was going to be alright.

Inside the office, I made the first effort to begin my speech - Olivia, a werewolf

He sighed and then scribbled words on the book

"Alexander, a vampire" I read it out loud. A smile found its way to my face, I looked at him as he had a troubled expression, and I dismissed him as he hurriedly left my office.

I guess I need to go study the history of vampires and werewolves since my mate is a vampire, I went back to the kingdom as I went to the library and moved towards the library section, I removed the history of vampires and werewolves. The first page made my countenance fell

"Vampires and werewolves, long-time enemies, this was related to an incident that happened several centuries ago" were part of the words on the first page leaving me in deep contemplation.
