Mia's pov
Hello there, my name is Mia. A crazy girl who eats adventure for breakfast and history for dinner. I stayed with my father for almost eleven years and anytime I encounter him, he is always reading books or doing research, sometimes I wonder if he is a human or an encyclopedia in human flesh.
Yeah, even tho I'm crazy, I'm more of the indoor type and not of the outdoor type, so I spent most of my time with my father, so some of his habits fell on me. I continued from where he stopped as I began to dig out history before time immemorial and I began to go on some archaeological adventures where I made some archaeological discoveries. The more I found, the more I got excited and wanted to discover more, I realized that I rather spend my time discovering more than wasting my time on humans.
After a deep thought, I got to know that the lifestyle that I lived was not nice, so I tried to mingle with humans, I was a beta so I had a considerable amount of respect from other wolves, I think the other reason was the fact that my dad was the only scholar and researcher in the whole kingdom, also he has a place as one of the prominent member in the werewolves council, and he is a beta.
My first encounter with humans was when I got to meet the ruler of the pack- Olivia. She was such a kind and sweet soul as she showed love and care to everyone irrespective of who you are. She's one of the few Alphas of the werewolf race.
The three of us were in the inner part of the library, in this part there was a soundproof door so the sound that was made from that particular door did not affect the rest which was reading. I took a book that had the history of the rivalry between the werewolves and vampires and began to read it.
"Long before the world began, three creatures lived in harmony - vampires, werewolves, and demons. They lived in peace, as they communicated and interrelated with each other. The division of these three creatures was a result of an ancient prophecy that says that there will arise a creature having the royal blood of the three creatures running through the veins and such to fulfill a mission of creating a new world where creatures mingle with other creatures without bloodshed.
The prophecy added that such a creature will have a helper and this helper will come from the werewolf kingdom. Together, they will wreak havoc and bring about the creation of a new world.
Thus began the search for the chosen and its helper. This led to the division of the three creatures creating a barrier that prevented outsiders from coming into the land and prohibited the citizens from moving out of the land.
Centuries passed, yet the fulfillment of the prophecy seemed far off. The tales of the prophecy were told to different generations as all awaited the fulfillment of such prophecy. The question lies in the hearts of the creatures around "When will these things be?"
I finished the first part of the book and turned to look at my listeners, amazed at the response that I saw. Olivia's head rested on the table as she was asleep while the guy whose name I don't know was engrossed in another history book. If craziness was a being, I think the two in front of me would have possessed such because their craziness is on a whole different level.
I dropped the book on the table beside me as I went to the one who was sleeping and woke her up
Olivia looked at me, tiredness could be seen in those eyes of hers
"You're done with the book??" She asked
I nodded my head
"Gosh, history is so boring, who was the person that even brought the studying of history into existence??" She whined.
I looked at her and was not surprised. All this while, the one who I did not know his name was so focused and concentrated on his book.
The book was suddenly removed from his front as he looked at Olivia, confusion and surprise laid in those countenance of his. Olivia chuckled as she dropped the two books inside the library, Both of us were confused about what was going on at that particular time.
I looked at the guy who had no name and gulped down the saliva, he was a young guy having an ivory skin tone, his white long hair tied into a ponytail, dressed in blue jean trousers on a black shirt. His black eyes stared directly at Olivia as he waited for further instructions from her.
Olivia turned to look at us and said
"Is there any other thing important apart from reading history?? Seriously, how do you people cope??? It sounds like a bedtime story??" She complained.
I looked at her and a smile found its way to my lips. I wondered if the wolves in which she was ruling understood that their ruler did not prefer History. She stood up, dragging both of our hands as we left the library. However, the one I did not know his name took a book and told the librarian that he was going to return it in a few days.
Looking at me with those brown eyes of hers, I chuckled as I led her to the outskirts of the kingdom, where there was a beautiful garden with a waterfall and all kinds of birds surrounding the area. She looked at the sight and marveled.
Till now, Olivia's way of appreciating nature was a turn-off for me. Having a smile on her face, she removed her golden slippers as she headed towards the waterfall. I sighed as I bent down to take her slippers. She walked on the grass giggling as she stood behind the entrance of the waterfall. Before we could blink our eyes, she had already entered the ground beneath the waterfall she went closer to the water and played with it.
The confusion lay heavily in our eyes as we were shocked by the present predicament. I took in a relief breath, funny how I did not know the reason but I took extra clothes with me, as I looked at the one enjoying the water without any care of the word, as I shook my head and headed to the guy who had already began reading the book which he got from the library
"Mia," I said interrupting him from what he was doing
"Blake," He said.
Both of us looked at the entrance of the waterfall as we saw the Alpha drenched with water, I took the extra wear to her as we went to a secluded place as she changed up. Coming out, she was happily going as she looked at me, gratitude laced within those eyes of hers
"You're welcome," I said as the three of us headed to our different destinations.
