CHAPTER FIFTEEN I woke a few hours later and instinctively knew she lay next to me before I even felt her, or heard her breathing. Lying on my side facing the window, I cracked open an eye. It was early enough that the morning made a gray, watery appearance through the gap in the curtain. I felt cold and arched my back to look over my shoulder. A blanket hog! I should have remembered that. The same in every incarnation I had shared with her. I smiled at the memory.
