EPILOGUE The elderly woman sitting by the bedroom window looking out over the snow covered lawns and gardens of the nursing home, pulled the crocheted blanket tighter around her legs. The weather was worsening as the day wore on and the promise of more snow seemed likely. Her mind wandered continuously, and she couldn’t make it settle on any one notion for long, forgetting what she had thought about only a few seconds ago. A nursing aid walked into the bedroom.
