I was up from the bed when Ian had told me he needed to go. The look on his face was clear that something was definitely wrong. But why did it choose this particular moment, when we're close to mating? Ugh!
"Did something happen at home?" I asked as he picked his shorts from the floor to wear.
"No, everything is fine, Eve." He was buttoning up his shirt now.
Everything is fine and you're leaving me unattended to. I thought.
"It's just a minor emergency." He quickly added.
"Ohh."
"I'm sorry we didn't get to finish this." He sucked on my bottom lip, then squeezed my bum before turning to leave. "Mmm, Jesse would take you to your house by tomorrow morning."
"You are not coming back tonight?" I asked, hoping that he would.
"It's under probability. I'm not sure."
