I went to work the morning. It was like nothing had happened. This was not as strange as it sounds. I had been taught to deal with things without showing them. I had to keep my feelings hidden. Things like sadness, fear and uncertainty. I had to keep my surface steady no what was going on inside me. This was something I learned from my Alpha training. It was helpful. It was also very lonely.
Asher noticed that something was wrong. He always notices these things.
He did not say anything when I came downstairs. He just handed me a cup of coffee. Looked at me for a moment. I looked back at him. We both knew that we still had to talk about what happened in the studio.
