I watched as princess Ava took a whip from a guard and walled towards the maid who was chained.

positioning herself at a distance behind the maid, the whip came down with a scary sound on the girls' back and she struggled to get away.

More lashes of the whip and the girl stopped struggling as the tears flowed her mouth was sealed to avoid her screams but her whimpers were audible.

' oh God, please spare her' I wanted to shout, I needed to save her, she must have had a reason. I felt something wet touch my cheek and slid down and I realized- I was crying and I wiped away the years, as I did I saw the heir to the empire raise hi hand and princess Ava halted. "I lighten her punishment with those few strokes" the heir said and I was shocked well not only me maybe the others were too." but imperial crown prince she spied you know how severe this case is right?" princess Ava asked " I use my power to over rule the mass judgement " princess Ava dropped the whip which was covered in blood in some places and left, following her were her servants and guards.

" clean this place up" the man who had called her punishment ordered and left. the royals start leaving.

instinctively, I rushed towards the girl, she had stopped crying and struggling it seemed that the pain had exceeded.

I carried her despite the fact that she started writhing in pain, and rushed her towards the rebuilt fourth quarter specifically my room.

" she will remain here till evening " I stood still. the heir spoke. I could feel the authority in his voice but I couldn't bring myself to let her stay here. she wouldn't doe from her wounds but who was I not to care?.

I faced the crown prince and my heart skipped a beat in fear, my breathing became haggard again and I felt slight pain in my chest. I bowed.

I fetched water in a bucket and got a new pair of clothes and shoes from my room, I got two huge blankets and a rope I used one of the blankets and converted it to a mini bathroom with the help of the rope.

" the imperial crown prince asked me to give it to you" the guard said outside the temporary bathroom I went out and saw a first aid kit it was black and polished" thank you" I said, took the box from him and entered the bathroom. I cleaned up the girl, dressed her wounds and dressed her up I sprayed the second blanket somewhere clean and dry in the field and lay her on it.

I cleaned up the mess I made and raced into the kitchen.

after serving the heirs' food I served I and the maid outside food.

" hey" I shook the girl gently out of her unconsciousness.

she frowned and opened her eyes"*wince, it hurts" she complained of the pain.

" don't worry it'll heal as long as you stopped doing bad things "I said " I'm sorry but I had to you have to understand me, I had to" she sobbed....
