CHAPTER THIRTEEN

"You're crazy"

"Crazy for you baby" He says and kisses my forehead and I feel sparks all over my body. I feel these sparks whenever he kisses me and there's this strong connection between us that I just can't understand.

I can't wait to have this baby and end all this. It's driving me nuts.

"There's something you need to know"

"What's that?" I ask as I put a spoonful of peanut butter in my mouth. "Hmmm, are you sure you don't want to have some?"

"I'm fine Hazel, it's way past my eating time"

"Oh...ok Mr. dietician, enjoy watching me enjoy my peanut butter" I put more in my mouth and then I remember that he was saying something. "Oh...you said there's something I have to know"

"Yeah, I told my mum about the baby" he announces and I pause in horror. I feel itches all over my body and I make a mental wish for this to be dream.

His mum!

"No you didn't" I say shaking my head

"I had to, Craig just brought up the topic during super and I had no choice but to explain things to her. Hope you're not mad"

"Well, it's okay. It's her grandchild anyway, she has the right to know"

"She wants to see you"

"No she doesn't" I say in total disbelief

"Yes she does"

"Do you have any idea how creepy meeting your mother sounds?, Geez, I'm getting goose bumps already"

"Come on she's not going to eat you" he says laughing

"Haven't you heard about mothers-in- law?" I ask ask astonished and he laughs harder.

He f*****g laughs. It's not even funny.

"Mother-in-law, I like that" he says with a sly smile.

Ugh!, Now he's already thinking the impossible.

"Please, don't even push it"

"Why not?, I totally love it. You and I will make a perfect couple"

"You are..." The urge to puke doesn't let me complete my statement. I quickly cover my mouth with my hand and rush to the toilet where I violently puke into the toilet pot.

"Sorry about that" he says as he gently rubs my back. When I'm done I flush the toilet and go to the sink where I rinse my mouth.

"Are you okay?" He asks concerned

"Don't talk to me" I say as I walk past him and go to the bed.

Klaus' POV

It's past nine am and I'm in my office preparing the presentation I have to make for the board meeting coming up in an hour's time. The meeting specifically concerns the Art and craft department of the company. I just signed a contract with Symphony Suits which entails me making interior designs for the private lounges at their five star hotel. It's one hell of a project which means a lot of hard work and time sacrifice and of course, cash. I can't wait to add more millions in bank account.

I live for the good life.

My thoughts travel to Hazel and I smile foolishly when I recall how we were cuddled up in each other's arms all night. She wouldn't sleep, kept bringing all sorts of topics, hilarious topics about her and Wendy's college experiences. I didn't know she had such a good sense of humor. Last night was a memorable one and I can't wait to make her mine so as to have more of such moments together.

My phone rings and when I check the call ID, my heart does a series of summersaults when I see Hazel's name. I quickly pick up the call.

"Hello beautiful"

"Hey,... good morning"

"Good morning, how are you doing"

"I'm okay. I saw your note, thanks for making me breakfast"

"Anytime baby. Vanessa will come over by ten am, if you need anything just let her know okay?"

"Who is Vanessa?"

"The maid"

"Oh, okay. That won't be necessary though, I'll just head home after I have my break fast"

"What?...but why?"

"Because it's my home and it's only normal for me to go back there"

"Please Hazel, I want you to be home when I get back from work"

"I can't"

"Hazel please, just do this single favor for me. I want to come back home to you. Please?" I plead and there's a moment of silence. All I can hear is her gentle breath over the phone.

God I pray she says yes.

"I think Vanessa is here"

"Did the doorbell ring?"

"Yeah, I'm headed for the door"

"Don't hang up"

"Yes sir" I hear her type the security code and soon the door opens.

"Daisy?" She calls

"Wait who?" I ask astonished. What the hell is Daisy doing ....oh no, God no this is not happening.

Hazel is screaming over the phone.

Daisy has attacked her!. I swiftly pick up my phone and car keys from the table and walk out of my office. I step into my private elevator and dial Craig's number. He picks on the second ring.

" Hello Craig"

"Hey bro, sup?"

"I need you to come over to my office right now"

"What's going on?, Why do you sound so worked up?"

"I'll explain later, for now I need you to get to my office and study the files for the Symphony Suits Contract so you could Chair the meeting coming up in an hour's time"

"What the hell!, how am I supposed to know what to say?"

"Once you read the content of the file you'll know what to say, now get your a*s to work"

"What's going on man?"

"I'll fill you in on the details later on, for now just do as I say"

"Okay bro, I've got you"

"Good luck"

I hang up and try to dial Hazel's number but it's totally unavailable. When I step out of the elevator I walk out of the lobby to my private parking where I get into my car and drive out of the Heritage Premises. Once I'm on the road I hit the gas and damn!, I will kill Daisy if she harms Hazel.

I know Hazel is a strong woman, she can surely defend herself against Daisy but as it is now she's pregnant and vulnerable.

Oh God please save Hazel and our unborn child.

When I arrive at my apartment, I park my car and rush into the house and I almost faint at the sight of Hazel, she's lying on the floor by the staircase crying and Daisy is nowhere to be found.

"Baby" I call as I rush to her.

"She...she attacked me Klaus" she says crying

"I'm very sorry ab...."

"Klaus!" She suddenly screams " Klaus I'm bleeding , oh my God no!. My baby"

She screams and when I look at her legs, she's indeed bleeding.

Okay Klaus, breathe in, breathe out, you need to relax. Hazel is already freaking out enough for two of us so I need to put myself together and...

I can't loose this baby!

"It's going to be okay, come here" I carry her bridal style to my car and put her on the passenger seat.

"Klaus I don't want to loose our baby" She cries as I strap on her seat belt.

"That is not going to happen, trust me" I assure her as I get into the car and pull out of the driveway. Once I hit the road, I call Craig yet again.

"Craig"

"Hi Klaus" He says sarcastically

"Cancel the meeting"

"Now I've had enough of this crap, what the hell is going on ?"

"I need you to get Caleb and tell him to track Daisy down. I don't know how you guys are going to do it but all I want is Daisy's crazy a*s arrested before I go completely bonkers"

"Whoa man easy, eeaasyyy. What has Daisy done?"

She attacked Hazel and right now she's bleeding heavily, were headed for the hospital"

"I'm going to kill her!" Craig says sternly and the line goes dead.
