ALEX

Alex POV I trudged through the school gates, with the members, my entourage of fans swarming around me like a tidal wave. It was just another day, another crowd of screaming admirers, all clamoring for a glimpse of me. As much as I appreciated their enthusiasm, I couldn't help but feel suffocated by it all. School was a necessary evil, a price I had to pay for my fame. I longed for the freedom to do as I pleased, without every move being scrutinized, analyzed, and splattered across the tabloids. As I finished my last class, I made my way to my usual spot on the roof. It was my sanctuary, a place where I could escape the chaos of my life and be alone with my thoughts. I climbed the stairs, my footsteps echoing off the walls. The air was thick with the scent of fresh paint and stale air, a familiar smell that brought me a sense of comfort. Suddenly, I heard another set of footsteps behind me. I turned to investigate, my curiosity piqued. Who could be following me? I approached the door to the roof, noticing it was slightly ajar. I pushed it open, calling out, "Who's there?" There was no response. I stepped inside, my eyes scanning the empty space. The wind rustled through the trees, casting long shadows across the rooftop. despite the warmth of the sun on my skin. That's when my phone rang, shrill in the silence. I answered it, my manager's voice on the other end. "Hey, where are you?" he asked, his tone brusque and businesslike. "I need you to come to the company immediately. We have a meeting with a potential new sponsor." I glanced around the roof, feeling a sense of disappointment. Whatever or whoever was hiding here would have to remain a mystery for now. "I'm on my way," I replied, already turning to leave. As I walked away, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. I quickened my pace, eager to get out of there and into the safety of my car. The meeting with the sponsor was a blur, my mind still preoccupied with the mysterious presence on the roof. Who was it? And what were they doing there? I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. Being a celebrity wasn't just about fame; it was about work, and I had a job to do. As I sat in the meeting room, surrounded by suits and contracts, I couldn't help but feel like a puppet on strings. I smiled and nodded, playing the part of the charming celebrity, but my mind was elsewhere. I wondered if I'd ever find out who was hiding on the roof, or if it would remain a mystery forever. The meeting finally came to a close, and I breathed a sigh of relief. I made my way back to my car, the bright lights of the city blinding me for a moment. As I drove away, I caught a glimpse of myself in the rearview mirror. For a moment, I saw not the celebrity, but the person behind the mask. I drove through the city, the silence of the car a welcome escape from the chaos of my day. My phone's ring shattered the calm, and I glanced at the screen with a mixture of annoyance and curiosity. Sana's name flashed, and I felt a flicker of hesitation. My ex-girlfriend from Twice, we'd parted ways amicably, but I wasn't in the mood for a chat. The wounds of our breakup may have healed, but the memories still lingered, and I wasn't ready to confront them just yet. I ignored the call, letting it go to voicemail. The phone's silence was a relief, and I focused on the road ahead. The city lights blurred together as I drove, my mind preoccupied with the events of the day. As I arrived at the game house, a popular hangout spot for the BTS members, Bang Chan looked up from his screen and asked, "Bro, when did you leave?" I smiled, but didn't answer, heading straight to my room. I knew Felix would understand; he'd seen me like this before – withdrawn and lost in thought. "Bro's always like that when he's had a long day," Felix said with a chuckle, and Bang Chan nodded knowingly. I didn't bother responding, shutting the door behind me and embracing the silence. The sounds of laughter and gaming faded into the background as I retreated into my own little world. I flopped onto my bed, letting out a deep breath. The mattress creaked beneath me, and I felt my tension ease. Sana's call lingered in my mind, but I pushed the thought aside. I wasn't ready to talk to anyone yet. The silence was all I needed – a chance to recharge and reflect on my thoughts. As I lay there, my mind began to wander. Memories of Sana and our time together flooded my thoughts, and I couldn't help but wonder what she wanted. Was it a friendly check-in, or something more? I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the present. I had a busy schedule ahead, and I needed to be ready. The silence was a balm to my frazzled nerves, and I let it wash over me. For a moment, I forgot about the fame, the expectations, and the pressures. I was just a person, lying on my bed, enjoying the quiet. And in that moment, I was at peace.
