Chapter 15

1072 Words

Edeline This was amazing news, and I was supposed to be happy for him. But it was the exact opposite. Tyler leaned forward and cupped my face, wiping away my tears with his thumbs. His touch was so gentle that it somehow made everything a million times worse. Then he laughed, soft and low. “Are you seriously crying right now?” “No,” I blurted, which was an obvious lie. He was smiling teasingly at this point, and even though everything looked a bit blurry, I could still see the way he was looking at me—with so much care, like even the thought of hurting me made him feel guilty. “Someone as pretty as you should only smile, don’t you think?” It felt like my heart was going to explode. This was the perfect time, wasn’t it? The perfect time to finally confess my feelings to Tyler.
