Emery’s POV
I was running. I didn’t know where to, all I knew was that something was chasing me and I had to get as far away from it as possible.
I couldn’t seem to put any distance between me and my pursuer though. I was running as fast and as hard I could but my pursuers footsteps only seemed to be growing louder. They were catching up to me. I tried running faster. It wasn’t working. Tears started to fall from my eyes in frustration.
“Emery.” It was Penrod's voice. He was angry or at least he sounded angry to me.
Hearing his voice caused me to scream. What was he doing here? Why was he chasing me?
I tried to run faster but his voice grew louder as he continued to call my name before he suddenly grabbed a hold of my sweater.
“I caught you.”
I tried to fight him but he wouldn't
