I couldn't even wipe the smile off of my face as Emery walked away from me.
“Dennis we should go to my office. We need to plan for tonight,” I said turning to face Dennis.
He was still staring at Cameron’s retreating back but he nodded anyway.
“Robert,” I said to him bringing his attention to me. “I hope that whatever you have going on with Lacy is pure.”
“Pure?” Robert asked.
“I couldn’t find a better word for it but I hope you have no ill-intentions,” I said.
Lacy's older brothers weren't here to play this role so I figured that I would have to do it.
“Never. Lacy is quite the catch and I am not letting her go.”
