Chapter Five
“Sheila”
During the first week in the Big Apple, I met with the corporate executives. Then I went in search of a place to live. I finally found a condo on the West Side across from Central Park. It was a three thousand square foot, fully furnished, penthouse on the twentieth floor. The condo building provided a doorman to ensure privacy. The corporation gave me a week to settle in before I began my daily grind.

A month later, I was broadcasting syndicated throughout the country on radio and television. I was becoming a household icon. Anyone in the broadcasting business, who lives and works in New York knows there’s no place to compare it.
