Obedience Aeryl observes… Seated at one of the banquet tables, the herbalist looked around at the full gathering. She thought of Irenya, alone, a tray of food in front of her, most of which would not be eaten. Foolish girl, if she thought I would not notice the flesh almost falling from her bones. I do wish Leachim would ask permission to talk to her about the Gift. Glancing at the royal table, Aeryl wondered what their private reactions were to Irenya’s outburst the previous evening.
