Chapter 33 - Carmichael Ranch

I tucked a wisp of my hair behind my ear as I stood in front of a large oak door and waited nervously for someone to open the door of Carmichael Ranch. From the outside it was more than I had imagined the ranch to look like. The house was imposing, tall and rectangular with lots of wooden columns, pillars and large fancy windows. Behind the hacienda there were at least five to six white picket fenced pens in front of an enormous stable that was further down in the background. In the small pens I could even see a few horses lazily grazing in their pens. From afar they looked beautiful as they bent their strong necks low to pick up the golden hay with their teeth and swung their long manes back when they lifted their heads back up. Watching them mosey along had sparked this girlish desire
