I sat on the ground, my leg dipped into the little pond that had formed beneath the waterfall.., I was waiting for Rachael to arrive at our secret place but she didn't seem to be forthcoming.
It had already been well— over an hour and there was still no sign of her. Yet, I waited, hoping that somehow, she'd bring herself here despite her obvious attempts to avoid me for the past five days.
