Thursday, 6th October 1442 It was before dawn when the men hustled from their blankets that they had laid down on the ground and quickly put up a drying area to hang their blankets to make them dry before storing them up for the night. Sometimes these small actions sure do make a lot of difference. They managed to avoid those mildew smell that occurs when the blankets were rolled up when it was still damp and this leaves a rather musty smell that needs to be properly laundered. The top-down fireplace was stocked up and soon a  blazing fire was underway. Since it is still dusk, the fireplace seemed to be a great welcome to ward off the cold and stiffness of the morning.
